  1. I saw an intern resume today where they applicant described himself as an avid sock collector.
  2. Comparing playoff records is silly. They don’t tell the whole story. For example Kurt Warner is 9-4 and Eli Manning is 8-4 all-time. Those records are obviously pretty good, but how many times did those two quarterbacks miss the playoffs completely? Playoff appearances and playoff wins are far more telling.
  3. During Aaron Rodgers’s playoff tenure (17 games), the Packers are 1-6 when they give up 26 or more points and 9-1 when they give up fewer than 26 points.
  4. If it’s a single complaint, I doubt it gets any mileage. My guess is the player had a hard time adjusting to college and wanted to force an immediate transfer without looking like a flop. UWGB men’s basketball had a similar incident 7 years ago and it just turned out the kid wasn’t taking his meds. His mother was an enabler. If he really got ‘Sandusky’d’ - then yes, death penalty.
  5. This reminds me of Louisville men’s basketball. Pitino had Adidas funnel payments to players while his assistants organized ‘escort parties.’ Sure, they had to vacate their 2013 NCAA title, but during Pitino’s tenure (2001-2017), Louisville went from Conference USA, to the American (via the Big East), and finally to the ACC. I’m sure most Louisville fans (and the school’s trustees) agree it was worth it. You can’t take away all that TV money.
  6. This will be Rodgers’ 4th NFC Championship Game. All 4 on the road.
  7. Aaron Rodgers now has 10 postseason wins and is tied for 10th all-time on the postseason win list. There are no scrubs on that list.
  8. House money next week! Will definitely be closer than 37-8. Wipe your butts, everyone!
  9. Davante Adams definitely wiped his but this week ... guy looked 100%.
  10. This game went pretty much exactly the way I expected for the first 58 minutes. Kudos to the Packers for finishing.
  11. This is on the Packers. They didn't score of the blown fumble call so it wasn't that big of a deal. Pettine has not adjusted to their adjustment at all. Rushing 4 and watching Wilson dance and do whatever he wants. Defense has done jack this half. Not one stop. I don’t see how losing the coin toss is on the Packers and while they didn’t move the ball after the Seahawks second possession, they would have had a lot more options working from the Seahawks 40 than their own 10.
  12. Obviously late to the party with the BF.net outage, but classic Seahawks luck working throughout this game. 1) winning the coin toss in the modern NFL = a 1/2 turnover 2) that fumble on the opening drive that wasn’t a fumble ... OK 3) Russell Wilson pulling stuff out of his butt all night long
  13. I just got back from running errands with my son. When I left, it was 24-0 Texans. Now it is 41-24 Chiefs. (head scratch emoji)
  14. Why run a fake punt with a 17-point lead?
  15. Makes you wonder how much that bye is really worth. The Packers came out flat in SF after their regular season bye. Considering the last team to even make it to the Super Bowl without a first round bye was Baltimore seven years ago, it's huge. It is and it isn’t. In some years, the 1- and 2- seed teams might be clearly better than the other remaining teams and in other years, there could be less separation. The Packers (‘10), Giants (‘11), and Ravens (‘12) all won Super Bowls without byes prior to the seven-year streak you mentioned. I think byes are still valuable, but I also think good teams win primarily because they’re good.

  17. Wouldn't jumping on a car in a drunken stupor qualify as jackwagon behavior? Of course. I meant in how he dealt with the owner of the car and the police. If it was a bad joke while he was drinking with his buddies, then make restitution and move on. If he didn’t grasp the severity of his mistake and gave everyone a hard time, then I wouldn’t mind seeing him sweat it out in court.
  18. Uhhh ... They avoid injuries all season only to be done in by the flu
  19. Julian Edelman was arrested in Beverly Hills for vandalism because he allegedly jumped on and subsequently dented the hood of a Mercedes. I can’t see much coming out of that unless he acted like a total jack-wagon.
  20. I’ve mentioned this in other threads, but it’s worth repeating: Pick N’ Save is a much better grocery store under Kroger. My wife and I had given up on our local Copps, but decided to give it another shot when it was re-branded as a Pick N’ Save following Kroger’s acquisition of Roundy’s. Give it a try.
  21. Well, you've been picking against the Packers all season. I'd think I'd be scared if you predicted a Packers win. Ha. Yeah, A decade’s worth of letdowns has conditioned me to assume something bad will happen to the Packers. I think my brain has developed this as a response to protect me from further disappointment (thanks, brain!).
  22. The analysts on CBS Sports picked Seattle by a 4:1 margin. Pete Prisco was the only one to pick Green Bay and he’s always high on the Packers. I’m picking Seattle too, but I think that’s just my brain’s way of managing my expectations. In reality, I think it’s a toss up.
  23. ^^^ I know I straight up whiffed on half of these predictions ... I just thought looking at them again would make for good playoff weekend fodder. Not having to face Mahomes in KC probably explains another win.

  25. The Seahawks also led the league in PED suspensions the year they won the Super Bowl.
