  1. DeFelice. I don't care how many innings a game you may think Weaver pitches. None of that matters when he gives up 6 or 7 runs. He won't give the ballclub a chance to win, therefor move to the next guy. Weaver is about 4 years removed from being a decent pitcher.
  2. I appreciate the honesty, but I won't go as far as to say I feel bad for him. The guy is making $10M this season regardless of how he pitches. Now I am sure he wants to get it done as much as the next person, but he can't anymore. That being said, he's getting paid $10M when he's really worth maybe 1 or 2. Sounds like a lucky guy in my book.
  3. he can opt out of his contract if he isn't called up by June I believe. So, if we wanted to do this, I doubt we would have to wait until the trade deadline.
  4. BTW Schroeder and Schneider are a coupe of Gumba's. If only Uecker did T.V. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/frown.gif
  5. walking the pitcher? are you kidding me...
  6. any resurgence in this thread after another pitiful performance by Gagne? Stetter for closer Even Gagne knows he sucks...(these quotes come from his postgame after the game on 5-11-08) "I'm embarrassed. I'm going to keep going out there, keep fighting, but it's embarrassing," Gagne said. "Every time we get a little momentum, I come out there and kill the rally." "I don't deserve that ninth inning right now," Gagne said. "That's pretty simple." couldn't have said it better myself
  7. anybody ready to throw Gagne under the bus with me yet? Saw this coming a week ago. Its time for someone new.
  8. Oranges taste good. How else do you need to explain it?
  9. Brewer Fever - Lets bring in Ron Wolf to be the GM and manager of the Brewers. 10 says he could do a better job.
  10. Jim Powell - "Boy, that's the way this road trip has gone!"
  11. so...many....popups. I would love to get Gabe Gross back and his line-outs
  12. honestly, I'd take this mixed up roster for today over the normal one....at least these guys didn't go 1-2-3 in the 1st. It's about time Yost changed things up a little bit
  13. haha, you know the team has been bad when (on May 8) we have to start with the "at least we're not X".
  14. I would certainly take the first trade over the second, however I wouldn't trade for Kennedy. I think he is another example of a guy who has been overvalued to this point. Obviously he's only 24, however he has looked pretty atrocious to this point in the season. Not certain who I would trade those 2 guys for, would have to think about it for a bit.
  15. Wait until Gagne blows his next save so you can punch the desk with the other hand. This way you only have to make 1 trip for 2 busted up hands. On a real note, yeah probably go to the Doc. It never hurts (except the wallet), and its not worth the risk of the bones in your hand healing out of alignment.
  16. Congrats! Wish I had something like those little guys to take my mind off of baseball as well. Put a glove on their hands (and a bat) as soon as you get them home http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  17. I don't think Dunn would solve our problem. 1) we would have to move Braun back to 3rd which doesn't help our defense one bit. 2) A HUGE problem is that the Brewers aren't getting quality AB's, putting the ball in play. Dunn K's about as much as anybody in the league (he does walk a lot though). We need somebody that can create. We have enough bashers on the team who try to hit HR's ever at bat....Braun, Hall, Fielder.
  18. I would rather see the Brewers tumble from the skies in a ball of flames then give that bum of a man Roger Clemens a penny of our money and a Brewer uniform. Honestly though, I don't think he can do much for our team. He wasn't all that good for the Yankees last year and even if he takes a huge discount, you have to figure he'll still get something like $8-10M prorated which is extraordinary for a guy of his current abilities.
  19. I can't handle this. A 25 year old rookie, probably a guy that doesn't pitch for any other team in this league is making our "high-octane offense" look like a bunch of schoolgirls out there. I'm go find something to do that is worth my time.
  20. there are only so many ways to say that our offense is pathetic....
  21. oh wow, that looked pretty damn close to me
  22. Interesting Stat : Weeks is 2nd among NL 2nd baseman with a .993 fielding %
