Well it is stressful to pitch with the bases loaded so giving up the double was the right move long term.

Lindblom cleverly setting up the force at any base

Wong knocked the rust off quickly

Can anyone give an update on Uzzu? Happy with it? I don’t really understand how they can do what they are doing - any insight?

Great article, all the toe tapping does make me wonder about sustainability - I hope it works and is repeatable for him. On another note, Fangraphs has really had a lot of great Brewers stuff lately. I highly recommend folks check them out on a regular basis.

Yay! Day baseball! Time for the extra screen in the home office to get used.
-
Yes, he does but they have not disclosed what the issue was/is - or at least I haven’t seen it. Earlier in the year they said that he was “experiencing symptoms that left him drained and lethargic” and then would comment on him “being in good spirits” - which always sounds somewhat ominous.

Nasty boys was also the Reds bullpen back in the day

Eye Black - where do those umpire charts come from?
-
I saw that Brett Anderson referred to Woodruff as “Big Woo” which struck me as really funny- and I had not heard this one before. Was this nickname news to anyone else? Any other good Brewer nicknames out there.

Barry Bonds - lots of folks went to games just to see him play

Wow, those comments from Tepera are really something special. He is quite a tool. -

Is Contreras the new villain that we will despise? Has he replaced Yadier Molina? -
Even without a clearly better option. They may send Hiura down to work on his mechanics without the pressure of being in mlb games. In the long run - probably worth it.
-
Yes, they announced it yesterday

Tough crowd - now we do not like the quality of his walks. I do understand your point but we certainly have seen players that are incapable of taking a walk no matter the situation. Uriah has hit in the past, I really hope that he figures it out at the major league level as well.
-
I didn’t know you were allowed to just walk down to first- doesn’t he need to do some sort of interpretive art dance to demonstrate his displeasure?

Nice play by McKinney

Brewers sign Dee Strange-Gordon to minor-league deal
Sixtofan replied to Eye Black's topic in Milwaukee Brewers Talk
Gyorko is managing a minor league team. Was Strange-Gordon in a spring training camp somewhere or does he need a few weeks to get ready? -
I suspect he will be here until there are actual minor league games for him to play in.
-
I sort of picture him like the pickup truck driving down the highway with stuff flying out of the back of it. Lorenzo appears to have hit the age where stuff just breaks and falls off when he moves. Hopefully he can get healthy and contribute on the field instead of just as a clubhouse leader.

Sorry about the double post - clearly they disturbed me

The Cubs broadcast is talking about what a great basketball player Justin Bieber is. Seriously
