I am looking forward to Adames first at bat as a Brewer. I know it doesn’t really mean anything - I am just nerdy like that.
  2. Sixtofan
    It was delightful!

I’d take that bet 8 days a week. But it isn’t a comparison of Adames vs Urias, it is Adames plus Urias vs Urias plus (someone else - Reyes maybe?)

Hey Jopal- I just wanted to say great post, thank you. It really brought back some memories. Anyone else think Jeff Juden wasTony LaRussa’s kind of guy. I remember him throwing at people like it was his best skill (which I guess it may have been).

Ah, Mike DeJean as the closer, those were the days. He is the only reason I ever remember Jerry Royster was a Brewers manager.

That’s really surprising that it would break again so quickly. In 30 plus years of home ownership, I have only had to replace a spring twice.

I was surprised when I saw him yesterday as well. I always had such high hopes for Cal......

Although probably just because I despise the Cardinals
  9. Sixtofan
I also really sick of all the “Matt tell us why St Louis is so cool” discussion.

    This announcing team is terrible
  11. Sixtofan
oh is that when the Chiefs play the Broncos?

How does vogelbach not get to second?
  13. Sixtofan
Rick Sweet said they were going to let him get acclimated for a few days and then start him at first base.
  14. Sixtofan
Yep - they are still special

Two thoughts: I really doubt the Cubs are thinking of selling anytime soon. They clearly believe they can win. I really hadn’t paid attention to just how bad Pujols had become until I looked at his stats. Ok a third thought- Pujols is the all time leader for hitting into double plays - that is his piece or immortality! Well, and the hall of fame eventually.

I would advise getting the cover. Keeps geese etc from making a huge mess on your boat

I would really recommend not trying to trailer in and out of the water each time. It can really add a lot of hassle and planning to the boating process.

It’s like the embarrassment that parents feel when their small child throws a tantrum in public. Actually it isn’t “like” that - it is exactly that.

I have to agree - if he is really calling BG by what he considers to be a derogatory name in a team chat - that’s terrible. Rodgers is supposed to be a leader, this isn’t how leaders act - regardless of the circumstances.
  20. Sixtofan
Yes but the question is - can he even eat innings?
  21. Sixtofan
Me too! My first thought when I read it was that “Bettsie battled hard”. Poor kid, that was a rough debut.
  22. Sixtofan
    Love the draft so far
  23. Sixtofan
I am happy for him getting to play for the Brewers as a Wisconsin boy has to be a dream come true and I hope he does well. He just really looked done to me in spring training.
  24. Sixtofan
If only he had decided a day earlier.......
  25. Sixtofan
    Great game. Happy for Lauer.
