  1. Wow. Really wish this site weren't dead tonight. Interesting inning here.
  2. Is there anyone other than RR who would rather see Dillard warming than Meat Tray? Maybe the Yankees hitters...
  3. The patience and number of foul balls per at bat is infuriating. It is like they have 9 Craig Counsells. That pitch to Posada was pretty weak.
  4. Three innings, three DPs for the Yankees. Somehow Burnett is at 59 pitches. Pretty crazy considering he's essentially 'gotten' only 6 outs.
  5. Brauns ABs today finally look like he is back to what he was doing earlier this year. Great sign. Would love to see him take 2nd here.
  6. Shocked that RR didn't start Kotsay here. He has a homerun off Garcia!!! I feel good about this series and, if Marcum feels okay, think we can take it.
  7. This is just sick. I know he'll burn us at some point, but every closer does. When he's hitting his spots though, he looks ridiculous.
  8. Dillard is pretty awful. Pretty clear the book on him is out and Kotsay may even be able to groove one of Dillard's pitches off the wall.
  9. Now would be a good time for Casey to end the HR drought.
  10. I honestly thought that Gomez was going to get to that. I think now would be a good time to pull Estrada.
  11. Looks like another great turnout at MP. Impressive on a Wednesday afternoon. Marco doesn't look half-bad today either. Worried about a second time through the lineup though.
  12. Man Casey is slow. Glad that wasn't Rickie running out that ball that Yuni hit. Pretty sure he'd try to extend it to a double. I think Marcum will be fine. Just looked like he tweaked it. He wasn't grimacing too bad as he walked off.
  13. I thought Marcum got him on the earlier throw, but not on that one. Karma...
  14. HR one day, great ranging grab the next, surely this can't be Yuni playing SS.
  15. I can't believe Yuni is in the top 5 of SS in the NL in voting. What does that say about SS in the NL? Brewers fans? Yuni's mainstream appeal?
  16. By my review of the numbers, Narv has given up 7 HRs all season. Of those, 6 were with men on base and 5 with more than one runner on base.
  17. I see this going one of two ways: Wakefield totally shuts us down for 8 innings and we meet Pabelbon or we knock Wakefield out by the 3rd inning and we nervously cling to a 5+ run lead.
  18. I'm flying to Boston tomorrow and coming back early Saturday. If the Friday game gets rained out, I'm [expletive deleted]. We have two extras too if anyone is interested. (edit: language --1992)
  19. This is going to be another tough game. As bad as the Cubs are, if their starting rotation had somewhat panned out they could've been a .500 ballclub. Garza is only a tier below Marcum
  20. No need to give Prince anything to hit when Casey is on deck waiting to hit a 6-4-3.
  21. Weird that our 8, 9, 1 is better than our 6, 7, 8. Terrible call at 2nd there.
