I'd bet that this is Wilson's last game as a starter. Maybe they cut Counsel, but I have a feeling that there isn't much loyalty there and he doesn't add much. -

Nice little start there. I personally think Braun was safe, but I'll take 2 runs in the first. If Marcum can keep the streak going we should only need 1 or 2 more.

This thread deserves a bump. Morgan has been so key to the makeup of this team and lineup. We didn't have to give up anything of value and have a high obp, good fielding, high energy center fielder who has been clutch. His obvious WAR (ie games he was responsible for winning) has been 5.0+ in his half season. Best move -
The only way we win this game (or tomorrows) is by getting to their pen.

Tons of games left to play. I'm sure we'll have another disappointing spell as well as another little hot streak, just depends which is longer. If we continue to beat up the bottem feeders, we'll be in great shape because our schedule is pretty easy. So long as we don't lose any more players to the DL, I like our chance, but you never know. Once the playoffs start, anything can happen and it'd be great to add a banner into left field.

My biggest worry about the K-Rod trade is that Ax may falter leading to a controversey and Ax to lose his mentality. That has clearly not been the case.

1906!!!! Not too many records in baseball that are 105 years old. At this point he may as well try to try it.

I was sitting behind home plate at his debut and everyone, including the Tribune, forget who won that game. Everyone also seems to forget that Kerry Wood had as bad an appearance as Gagne (who ended up getting the W). Riske got the save that game too.

Bucs pitchers continue to defy sabermetrics: Braves had 11 hits through 9 and only managed one run. Maholm had 8Ks. I don't get it; Maholm was awful the last few years.
