  1. This Dodgers inning SCREAMS of 2000-2006 Brewers. I can't tell you how many games I recall where the Brewers had meltdowns like this.
  2. This K-Rod injury is really annoying. Leg soreness? Also, Counsell has no place on the post-season roster.
  3. Don't wake me up. This is just getting too silly. It is like the games you imagine in your head as a kid, always winning late, coming back, pulling out the unlikely. I just can't believe this is actually happening.
  4. Many of his dumb decisions have 'flukily' worked out (hitting Braun, starting Patterson) but he's bound to get bit by these at some point.
  5. This was my question at the outset. Is there any reason to hope that the adjustments could be permanent? Obviously there is room to debate.
  6. I think that is the point, he's not as bad as we've seen, but he's not as good as the past month has shown. My only issue was that his improvement corressponded with a different approach to the plate as if he had "learned" something. All fangraph disciples are taught that everything will even out, but rarely account for 'learning' something as if nothing is ever learned after age 25.
  7. The numbers have been staggering when you look at the first half of the season and the second half. Something happened toward the end of June that has drastically changed his approach to the plate and results. I know he still can have at bats that resemble the 0-2 pop-up to 2nd, but his numbers have been really impressive lately. If you look at it by month, May was the only truly bad month and he had a BABIP of .182. His July was very good with a BABIP of .300. I know babip isn't the end-all-be-all, but you have to think that he wasn't as bad as we all expected/witnessed during the first half of the year. Do we have to give major props to Sveum? I know Rock has been praising the new approach and I can't disagree that something has changed. Obviously, the guy still is horrendous in the field, but dare I say he has been a positive contributor? Would it stun anyone if we pick up his option? Someone convince me that this guy is just a fraud...
  8. We are going to get crushed today. I'm sure we don't have a scouting report on Jackson and he'll 2 hit us. We haven't seen bad Randy in a long time, so I'm expecting the worse, including a Dillard cameo in the 4-6th innings. I was so sure we'd win last night, that I really can't feel optimistic today.
  9. I know I'm not the only one in this IGT that thought there may be some 'substance' explanation for that reaction. After all, you have the circumstantial evidence of Big Mac I. The dugout and berkman's huge turn around.... See Classy Fans? We can all jump to conclusions...
  10. This may have been Rock's best game ever....He brought it for the Cards.
  11. How many of these clutch infield singles is Casey going to get???
  12. Classy slide by Pujols. He wasn't four feet away from the bag or anything.
