    Sadly, GoGo is 0-1. But it was a 7 pitch AB, so there is that. For some reason, I'm very excited about this series. I really think we could be on the brink. I know I'll turn the game on at 7:34 and we'll be down 6-0, but at least for the next 1.5 hours I'll be optimistic and excited.

    Barajas' OPS vs the Crew is nearly 1.000. McDonald has a .500 OBP vs the Crew in 2012 with 2 runs.

    I still think we're more likely to sign Grienke than to deal him. He clearly likes it in Milwaukee, has to see that we're going to remain competitive for the next few years (with an MVP left fielder, decent arms coming up, strong ownership, solid fan base, comfortable stadium) and seems to have a great relationship with management. I think Melvin probably thinks they are close on terms and it would take a really great offer to pry him away.

    Sadly, I could see something like this too. This is also what I expect, IF we do a trade. However, judging on what Miami gave up for Lee, maybe this really is a seller's market. Os are also looking at Wandy, who has an additional year on his contract at $13 mm.

    It is interesting to read the O's fan's comments. You would think that they often flirt with the offseason. I recall our boards going crazy in the deal for CC and most of us being pretty comfortable giving up Laporta because getting an ace would be such a big deal even if for just a short period. Even if LaPorta had ended up being an All-Star, I'd still do that trade 10 of 10 times. That shot at glory is so fleeting. My sense is that they just don't really believe in their team, which is understandable. Jones and Weiters are legit, but the rest of that team is a series of cast offs and streaky hitters who have been really hot. Hammels isn't as bad as his previous years indicate, but he's not this good either. Their rotation is...garbage.

    Don't get me wrong, I like watching Fiers pitch and you can't deny the results, but I just have trouble believing this is who he is.

    Crowd looks like a Florida Marlins game. I have a hard time believing there are more than 15K there.
