    Where is there proof that no one else wanted him. I'm not saying anyone necessarily did, but how do we know that? Could've been other teams interested when he signed with the Brewers.

    Why do they need a young SS anytime soon when they have Segura? I see your point about 2B and 3B though. Very thin at those positions.

    Agree 100%. He needs a heck of a lot more development before he's ready to contribute at the big league level in my opinion.

    Gennett is pretty much a slap hitter in a hitter's league. He won't really be what people expect at the major league level. Maybe a .260 or .270 hitter at best once he fully develops (not immediately right now), with a low SLG%, and average fielding. People vastly overrate him. He's could be decent at some point, but he's not a stud prospect. Not anyone that should be under consideration to replace Weeks right now at 2B. If he's the eventual 2B down the road, all he'll be is an 8 hitter, and decent player. Weeks even near his best brings a lot more to the table. I'd rather ride it out with him, maybe giving him some days off if need be. Then when Hart returns, see where he is at which point Yuni would be the main alternative.

    I bet Burgos gets optioned after the game, and Fiers gets recalled to eat some innings. Then Thornburg gets recalled to start on Thursday, because he's pitching in Nashville tonight. Or Fiers could possibly make that start if he isn't needed much in the few days before.

    How did this all work last year? I didn't really pay attention to it. Did they just start giving them out at a certain time at Miller Park until they ran out? And was it without any notice and they just announced it one morning?

    He was recalled from his rehab assignment today, but remains on the DL. So I'm assuming that's what happens now.

    Yeah, that's definitely a good point too. I'd prefer to leave him down in the lineup, because that's what's working for him right now. I wouldn't have a problem with him hitting 5th though, instead of 6th or 7th. At least for right now anyway. Unless Aoki or Segura start to falter, I don't see a reason to tinker with the top of the lineup as I said before.

    Problem is that the jersey is actually a cream color, and not plain white. Apparently that's why they went with the blue hats, because it was hard to duplicate the cream color for the hat.

    If they move Gomez to the top of the lineup, it should be to the 2 hole. He's a better fit there with his power, and run producing ability. Segura can hit leadoff or move to the bottom of the order. I don't see either happening right now though, because Aoki hasn't done anything to warrant taking him out of the leadoff spot. People say that Segura's success is partially because he's hitting in front of Braun. I just think he's a good hitter. It's easy to tell that by watching him at the plate. Sure, he sees better pitches in the 2 hole, but he'd be fine at leadoff or down in the order too. When Hart returns, it'll be harder to put a lineup together where it doesn't make sense to have Gomez somewhere at the top. Or even Weeks if he turns things around. Either way, it would look fine if they left it as Aoki, Segura, Braun, Ramirez, Hart, Gomez, Weeks, Lucroy.

    Yep, he's definitely coming up then. Makes sense to get him some playing time in the OF, so he can act as the 5th OF. I'm surprised it took this long into his rehab assignment to do so. Maybe it was because they just recently started talking about sending Davis down? Just because he's playing tonight doesn't mean he can't come up tomorrow. Could be Ramirez a day early though. Doesn't really matter. Either way Ramirez and Bianchi will replace Davis and Prince within the next 2 days.

    bianchi started his rehab assignment on 13 april. can rehab assignments last 30 days, or is that only with pitchers? He's got 30 days. My guess is they'll use all 30 to get him AB's before he's called up and has to sit. If I had to guess, they'll deal for a different type backup and he'll replace Gonzalez who will be dealt or let go. Nope, it's 20 for position players. 30 days is only for pitches. It expires on Friday.
