Oh ok, well that makes sense then. I just don't see them moving Bautista to 3B and then right back to RF later this year. So I doubt we'll see Lawrie until September then.

Yeah, I agree that we didn't really need Leuer, but it's still cool that we got him. I'll be pulling for him. Really he'll probably just replace Ilyasova, who is likely to be traded. I don't mind that. He's better offensively than Ilyasova, which is what the Bucks need right now. Best comment of the day about Leuer, "If he was from Europe and his name was Jonas Leuersavic, he would have gone top 20."

So Hammond makes a win-now trade and then drafts another project? Sounds about right. Terrible move. Makes this trade even worse. Rebuild or win-now Hammond? It's gotta be one or the other.

Pretty terrible deal. Don't really save any significant money until 13/14. Jackson is ok, but we move back 9 spots basically for nothing. We got average players for average players. Don't think getting Jackson is worth dropping 9 spots. The Bobcats killed everyone in this deal. Moving up 12 spots just for taking on Maggette. Kings move back 3 to take on Salmons. Bucks: C- Kings: F Bobcats: A

If the Bucks could swap Maggette for Jackson and still be guaranteed to get Burks at 19, I'd do it. Would still like to see the pot sweetened a little though. Then they have to dump Salmons somehow also, or they'll have a logjam at SG.

Actually it's Burnett vs Wolf. They have an off day like us Monday, so unless they skip Gordon that's Burnett's spot. According to their probables they aren't skipping Gordon. They have Garcia Tuesday, and Gordon Wednesday as of right now.

I thought the first rumor was 10 for 13 and 24. How do we now have to add Ersan and get worse picks? It's 14 and 23. The Rockets don't even have the 24th pick. And the player is Patterson, Lee, or Hill. Possibly Budinger.

Impressions of Roenicke so far (part 1)

I would like to know how much input Kranitz has on pitching decisions during games. Because it seriously might be partially him who is influencing Roenicke on certain decisions. Also, I think our bullpen will look a whole lot better when Saito and Braddock are back hopefully shortly. Then if Melvin can trade for a reliever it'll be hard to criticize the use of any pitcher. We'll have Ax closing, Saito as setup, and then have Loe, Hawkins, Braddock, and whoever we trade for to play matchups with. Mitre can be the long guy or innings eater. -
Yeah, I mean if they're willing to give up good pitching for Kottaras then you gotta jump on it. Not sure I see that happening though.

Was at the game today. Really pissed that Dillard was in the game in the 7th against multiple lefties. Would've liked to see Hawkins there. Not sure what the deal is with how Roenicke uses him. He just seems to disappear for multiple days at a time. Should've went Hawkins, Loe, Ax to finish it. Also was even more pissed when Kotsay pinch-hit for Lucroy. If you want a HR there you gotta go with Kottaras. Pure stupidity in my opinion. Frustrating game.

Not interested at all in trading Kottaras. Mainly because we wouldn't get anything useful enough for him to make up for losing him as our backup catcher.

I'm not a fan of anyone except the Brewers. I enjoy watching other teams plays, especially the playoffs, but I can't say I like any AL teams or have a favorite. -

With Morgan, it's not really like he's just doing a sac bunt. He was trying to bunt for a hit, but if he can't do it it just turns into a sac bunt.

Not saying he's been a world beater, but McGehee quietly has an 8 game hitting streak. Yeah, I have no problem with McGehee in the 5 spot anymore. He should've been moved down during his slump, but he's hitting fine now.

Yeah, it's almost weird seeing the white jerseys. Seems like we never wear them anymore.

Actually, it might take quite a bit to get Hardy. He's playing himself into a for sure Type A, and it'll be hard for the Brewers to offer better compensation than that. I personally think Reyes and Hardy are both out of the picture now.

McGehee has looked fine lately, so I don't have a problem with it anymore. I did have a problem with it when he was in a major slump though.
