Casey McGehee's struggles: how much leash does he get?

There's no way that Green, or anyone else for that matter, can do any worse than McGehee is doing right now. So I say make the move, and let McGehee work it out in AAA instead of in the major league lineup. -
Can we just have some major changes happen after this game please? McGehee out, Kotsay out, Green up, Saito activated, then later Gamel down and Boggs up. Also Dillard or Estrada can go, and McClendon can come back up. Play Green every day, bench Yuni, platoon Counsell and Wilson, and look to trade for a SS, power bench bat, relief pitcher, and possibly a 3B.

Just thought of this if Green isn't the answer to replace McGehee. How about Wilson Betemit? He is having a good year, and could be gotten pretty easily I would guess. He hits RHP better than LHP, but is a switch hitter. At the very least he could platoon with McGehee if they want Green to stay in AAA, or Wilson. -
The only reason he's not playing is because we're facing a lefty. He looked bad against CC yesterday, so Roenicke didn't wanna throw him in there against a LHP again. He'll be in there the next 2 days.

They will do something with Casey eventually. It just sucks that it takes this long. We all saw how long it took to just take him out of the 5 spot. Now we will wait to see how long it'll take for him to be taken out of the lineup.

At least for starters it should be. McGehee can at least sit on the bench. He doesn't hurt the team as much then.

No doubt. Performance on the field is all that should matter. But that clearly isn't the case with this team.

Seeing as an injury is the only way to get him out of the lineup, then no. And it's not like it was a serious injury, just enough to get him on the DL would work.

It still baffles me that a player like Gomez can suck so bad at bunting. He should be an expert drag bunter with the speed he has. But HOLY CRAP he killed that HR.

Sounds like Braun doesn't want to do it because of his shoulder though, but Weeks will definitely do it. I bet he'll pick Weeks and then 2 guys from other teams. Maybe Howard and Kemp.
