  1. http://wssp.radiotown.com...jimrome/070111_nyjer.mp3 There ya go.
  2. You also have the team records flipped around. And it says Gallardo instead of Brewers and Baker instead of Gallardo in the thread title.
  3. He's been inept against all pitching this year, so it's not much of a surprise.
  4. Pretty sure it's just because we're facing a lefty, and they didn't wanna start Gamel twice in a row against one.
  5. Not sure why Roenicke felt the need to play Gamel against CC, but not Liriano.
  6. Well, technically they can't drive in runs if they get pitched around. Can only have one or the other right now. Hart needs to be hitting 5th, so there's not much to do against LHP in the 2 hole. It's either hit McGehee 5th or Gomez 2nd. Both suck, so I'll take the protection. Gomez had a great game against Liriano last week too. I hate this lineup anyway.
  7. I'd be totally on board with giving Greinke an extension right now. Try to lock him in while his price is at the lowest it may ever be. He probably wouldn't do it right now, but if he's open to it I would.
  8. I agree with this. The only problem is see is that Green struggles against LHP, meaning that Wilson may have to be his platoon mate at 3B. I'd rather just dump Wilson and keep McGehee to play against LHP.
  9. The move that makes the most sense is Boggs replacing Kotsay. I don't see a reason to send down Gomez, or call up any OF besides Boggs.
  10. Yeah, Gomez isn't going anywhere. He plays good defense and is needed to platoon with Morgan. As bad as he is at the plate, I doubt he'll ever be sent down.
  11. I doubt Braun will want to compete because of his shoulder.
  12. I could see Melvin letting him get the bonus as a good gesture and then getting rid of him.
  13. As much as I hate the Cardinals, he should probably pick Berkman. He's been pretty good in previous derbies. Other than that, he should pick Rickie just because he's a Brewer, and maybe Matt Kemp. Not sure who else would be good.
  14. http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=6725133 This sounds awesome. Fielder should get Rickie on his team for sure.
  15. No doubt. I would have to think that if McGehee does get sent down at any point that Green would be recalled. I highly doubt they would go with a Counsell/Wilson platoon at 3B. I guess time will tell though. I think he'll still be given more time before they demote him.
  16. Why can't they have 4 OF's? 2 of the 4 play everyday anyway. Some teams even use three :-) Sure, they could have 4 OF on the 25-man, but I doubt they will. I agree with PEM that if only Kotsay goes, Boggs will come up. If only Wilson goes, Green would come up. Personally, I hope both happen, and the sooner the better. Yeah, I'd be fine with both happening. I hope they do. 4 OFs would probably work, but I don't see Melvin or Roenicke wanting to do that. I'd like to see a bench of Kottaras, Counsell, Boggs, McGehee/Green, and Morgan/Gomez. That would look a lot better than what we have now. Then Melvin can keep working on adding a power bat to the bench, a SS, and whatever else he needs to improve the roster
  17. I'd agree. Not thrilled with the overall lineup. Only day I'm going is Saturday, because there's a few bands I really wanna see. Not sure if I'll go at all beyond that.
  18. Well, your dream world won't happen because they won't play with 7 IFs and 4 OFs. If anything Boggs would get recalled instead of Green. I think Wilson would be the odd man out if Green was coming up.
  19. No way I'd keep Marcum over Greinke if I had to choose. Marcum's style of pitching signals a drop off later in his career. Greinke has a chance to be better for a longer period of time in my opinion. I think Greinke will likely be the better pitcher 4 or 5 years down the road. His stuff is just so good that if he gets things straight he can be that Cy Young pitcher he was a few years ago. Marcum will never be a Cy Young pitcher, because he just doesn't have that kind of talent. I guess if you look at it from purely a dollar amount standpoint though, then Marcum will obviously be the more economical signing. Either way, I'd love to keep both of them for sure.
  20. I'll start this off and go with 15-12. 13 home games and 14 road games. I figure they'll win 9 or 10 at home and 5 or 6 on the road. Sounds about right.
  21. There's no way they go with Wilson as the only backup infielder. Not gonna happen.
  22. Not sure why Bill and Brian are blaming Gamel for that. He didn't have a lot of time. Not sure why they think that was thrown to hard for that situation. Axford should've had that.
  23. Sadly, McGehee is quickly becoming the bigger problem. Now we have to worry about 3B and SS.
