  1. I was at the game tonight. No one seemed to be into New Noise. Nothing will ever match Hells Bells, but it seemed dead to me.
  2. Too bad Minor is starting this game. Now we have to deal with this piece of crap that is our lineup. Almonte is actually better than Kotsay, so that's a plus, but Gomez and Nieves really suck. Betancourt is ok, because it's against a lefty.
  3. Parra is throwing a simulated game today, then will go on a rehab assignment. Should be back sooner rather than later. He'll be back before Hawkins I would guess.
  4. Yeah, I kind of expected him to be back on April 26 at the earliest. That was even optimistic.
  5. That's good, I didn't know that. I wonder if he'll just be optioned right after the game then, so he can just be recalled for the next start on April 16. Not sure who we'd recall, because it can't be Kintzler, but it would make more sense than keeping Estrada around.
  6. Yeah, I believe you are right about that. People thought it was a little over -the-top because he had a kid with him.
  7. Truthfully, they shouldn't even give timetables for these kinds of injuries. There's really no way of knowing how long either could take to heal. Any injury in that area can be tough, and take a long time to recover from. I never thought it would be as quick as they said for either guy. Just hoping that when both return that they are completely healthy, and stay healthy.
  8. I still say that we were better off just going with Mitre and not risking losing anyone of the 40-man roster. I don't see much difference between Mitre and Estrada, so the move makes little sense.
  9. Works for me. Don't really need Merklinger, but he'll clear waivers anyway.
  10. I don't see why they wouldn't just use Mitre if they didn't wanna make a 40-man roster move. There would be no reason to go with Peralta.
  11. No, it'll be the other way around. There's no point in calling up a different pitcher for the bullpen, when Kintzler was already fresh. It'll be Estrada to start, with Mitre to follow if needed.
  12. But then they wouldn't need to send down Kintzler. So its either a DL move or DFA Moldonado or perhaps James. Am i the only one hoping of those options its DFAing James? Yeah, I really don't wanna see Maldonado get DFA'd. We really need him in AAA for catching depth. I have no idea what they are planning on doing at this point. I still don't get their thinking with this move. Our bullpen is fully rested with Gallardo pitching a complete game, and Mitre is capable of going at least 4 innings. I would've just went with Mitre.
  13. It is a smart move by the Brewers to wait until the last minute to announce their starter, so the Braves don't have much time to prepare. Although, there's only so much you can do to hide it. The Braves could've waited to announce Mike Minor as their starter for tomorrow, but everyone knew it would be him anyway.
  14. Ah, so that's why Arnett wasn't placed on a minor league full season roster I knew that happened for a reason. Why didn't I think of that sooner?
  15. Yeah, he played outfield once for a few innings, but Reynolds apparently thinks he played there regularly.
  16. I don't think anyone will truly know the answer to this. I'm guessing it's Roenicke.
  17. Haha, what a moron. Get you facts right before you make dumb statements like that Harold. The only talent he has is in the field, and obviously we didn't waste it. That's hilarious.
  18. Kintzler would have to be in Nashville at least 10 days, unless an injury occurs. So, he's probably there indefinitely with Parra and/or Hawkins likely to come back before that time is over.
  19. Anyone considered that we might be throwing everyone off and recalling someone other than Estrada? I doubt it would happen, but never know.
  20. Parra is throwing off a mound tomorrow. It won't take him much longer to get back. Maybe a week or two tops.
  21. I doubt they'll want to expose Maldonado to waivers, but it's possible.
  22. I would much rather have Kintzler in the bullpen for the 10 days after this start than Estrada. Kintzler cannot be recalled for 10 days now, unless there's an injury. I don't see a big difference between Estrada and Mitre, so move really confuses me.
  23. This sucks. Should've just went with Mitre. No one on the DL makes sense for the 60-day DL. Not sure what they plan on doing. If Lucroy or Hart were ready, this would make more sense.
  24. Pleased to see that the picture isn't as bad as it was on Saturday. Still not great, but doesn't hurt my eyes.
  25. I still think we'll trade for Furcal at the deadline. Just seems like something Doug Melvin would do, but only if Betancourt is really struggling. I expect that to happen, so I expect this deal to happen.
