  1. Ik, it would be awesome. I don't think anyone would get a better reaction. Leave it to the Brewers to disappoint us though by building our hopes up for "someone special" and then having it be Selig or something.
  2. I don't see why people blame the manager for people developing injury problems. Usually, those problems start in the minors, which is the responsibility of upper management. Either that or the player is just injury-prone, and there's nothing you can do. Sheets was probably one of those cases.
  3. I guess this depends on how people define "very special." If it's relating to the Brewers or baseball, I would think that Hank Aaron would be the person. If it's someone else, I guess it could be a lot of different people, but Rodgers would be who I would guess. Could be either one, but I don't know why they wouldn't just announce it.
  4. Hopefully it's Opening Day. People would go nuts if it was Rodgers throwing out the first pitch. Maybe throwing the belt after he throws it. That would be awesome.
  5. Believe it or not, this is not the first time that someone under contract has gotten injured and continued to earn their salary in spite of not actually playing. There's really no point in dwelling on it. Agreed, players get hurt all the time. Including high paid players like Greinke. I really don't care about the money, I just want Greinke healthy and pitching asap.
  6. Aaron Rodgers. Hank Aaron would be cool too though.
  7. I kind of figured this already. I thought April 26 was the target, and it's still a possibility. Not very surprised, but yes it does suck. Let's say he throws off a mound this weekend. If that happens then maybe he pitches in a game on April 11 for about 30 pitches or so. Then 45-50 on April 16, and 60-65 on April 21. That puts him in line to make a start on April 26 with about an 80 pitch max or so. I think it's a possibility that we'd give him that start. If not than maybe May 1, or someone around there.
  8. Except that Estrada isn't on the roster. So you'd have to account for someone else.
  9. 50 and sunny for tomorrow. Should be great. Home opener 41 and rainy, eh.
  10. I just don't understand not keeping the best talent on the major league roster. Cain is clearly better than the backup OF's they kept. I don't see why he wouldn't make the team. He needs to face major league pitching to develop more. He won't do that sitting in AAA all year where he's already proved himself. I guess time will tell on Lawrie. Gotta see what he can do at AAA first. I don't think it would've been a great idea to throw him right into the majors, and I probably wouldn't until late in the season.
  11. Yep, exactly why I posted this. Surprised on all accounts. Melky Cabrera is starting CF. The backup OF's are Jarrod Dyson and Mitch Maier, which says even more about it to me. All I can think is that they want Cain playing everyday, but you'd think he would at least be good enough to platoon with Cabrera. Lawrie might be in AAA all year, because they have Encarnacion starting at 3B right now.
  12. I was just looking around at final roster cuts and such, and I noticed that Cain didn't make the Royals, even as a backup outfielder. He was sent to AAA Omaha. That kind of surprised me. However, Jeffress did make the team as reliever. Also noticed that the Jays sent Lawrie to AAA Las Vegas. He apparently really impressed them, and isn't far from being on the big league roster. Thought this was interesting as well, because they said he also played well at 3B. The Las Vegas part would scare me a bit though, lol.
  13. Yeah, the only time I ever really listened to Michaels was on the Packer post game on my way back from games. I did really enjoy that, but other than that didn't really care for him. I hope they get someone good to replace him for that.
  14. Good, we all want Morgan taking the playing time in RF while Hart is out. No Kotsay please. Also I was dead on in predicting those guys' numbers. Really weird, but those just seem like common numbers for our team.
  15. I'm still hoping Kottaras gets kept, and he still might be. I'm not sure if Nieves catching Opening Day means anything or not, but I'm hoping it doesn't. Hopefully, Lucroy can be Gallardo's other personal catcher, and then the problem is solved.
  16. I still hope the Dodgers don't compete, and we trade for Furcal at the deadline.
  17. Agreed, that was a big mistake in my opinion. It all comes back to having Kotsay on the roster. That's what I say. No Kotsay would mean Boggs, which means no Almonte, which means keeping Cruz.
  18. Haha, this is awesome.
  19. Unfortunately, there was some bad news as well: Why in the world is he starting Nieves over Kottaras? I'd much rather have the offense right now at the bottom of the lineup. My guess is that he wants him catching Gallardo, and based on the post above that is the case. This might be enough for us to know who will stick around when Lucroy comes back. Gallardo having a catcher he's comfortable with is important, and if it's really that close of a call between the two this might make the difference.
  20. Good news, we'll need someone down at AAA for insurance. I'm sure he'll be ready when Kotsay sucks or gets hurt. Hopefully Doug will pull the trigger on releasing Kotsay if he does in fact flame out like people are expecting. We'll see I guess.
  21. I like all the player commercials, but the fan ones were dumb. The outtakes were funny too.
  22. Prince is gonna get paid, there's no doubt about it. There's some team out there that will give him some insane amount of money. Really though, I don't care at this point. I hope he tears it up, and wins MVP this year. That will help us get to the playoffs and make a run at the World Series. I love Prince, and it will be sad to see him go, but it's inevitable, because no matter what he's gonna get paid, A LOT.
  23. This is amazing. I can't wait to see this in person on Opening Day.
