Welcome to Brewerfan.net SpottedCow, feel free to share your articles with us too. I'm sure most of us would enjoy them. Glad we can help, lol.

http://www.jsonline.com/b...anblogs/berniescrew.html Here's another mention of it with a link to an article talking more about it. Guy hit .357/.486/.679 this winter.

http://www.mlbtraderumors...&utm_medium=facebook Looks like the Brewers signed 17-year-old Dominican 3B Estervin Matos for $100k. Good move.
  4. PrinceEatMeat
Well, guess that worked then, lol. New Noise has made a big run.
  5. PrinceEatMeat
Almonte 4-5. Still making his case for a roster spot. Boggs also 4-5, double short of cycle.

This was a great game to be on TV. Anyone who missed it should try to catch the replay on MLB Network. We were just hitting like crazy all game. Yo was very good, so was Axford. Great game. Got me pumped to get down there on Saturday and for the season to start!

I think Almonte still has a shot at making the roster. I don't see both Dickerson and Boggs making the roster. It's basically those two for one spot and Cruz and Almonte for the other.
  8. PrinceEatMeat
It seems to me like Almonte actually has a good shot at the last bench spot as well.

Anderson De La Rosa with the 3-run walkoff HR. Never heard of him, but sweet!
  10. PrinceEatMeat
Yes! Rivera with a homer. Keep it up Mike!
  11. PrinceEatMeat
This is good news. Hopefully he can get back in time to make the opening day roster. I really don't wanna deal with carrying two of our crappy backup catchers to start the season.

Ax was on Petros and Money today and he talked about his song for a little bit. You can listen here http://www.petrosandmoney...channels/347359/1201705. The guys on the show liked Bulls on Parade. Ax said that at 1,000 votes he's going to cut the field down to 10, and then once he gets 1,000 on those he'll cut it down to 5 and probably even 3. Then he'll take votes on those until the season starts and he'll either go with what the fans want or he'll probably just picks the one he likes most. I can already see that the final 3 is likely to be New Noise, Bulls on Parade, and The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly. I doubt he'll like The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly, so I think it comes down to New Noise and Bulls on Parade.

    New Noise taking control 84-72.
  14. PrinceEatMeat
The Cubs just never fail to make me laugh.
  15. PrinceEatMeat
Yeah, I think Luis Cruz will definitely grab a backup IF spot. He might end up getting some playing time at SS if Betancourt struggles also.
  16. PrinceEatMeat
Yep, I was just reading the blog more and it said Silva was jawing with someone kind of like Zambrano always does. Lol, good stuff.
  17. PrinceEatMeat
Haha, the Cubs are already self-destructing in the first week of spring training. I'm guessing Silva got into it with someone.
  18. PrinceEatMeat
I'm with you on the Rivera thing. I don't know why he hasn't gotten a start yet. This is the 4th game now. Hopefully he at least gets some playing time in the next game or two. Otherwise, I'm starting to think that they aren't giving him a shot, and he's just slated as insurance at AAA.
  19. PrinceEatMeat
Really, I'm just hoping that The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly doesn't win the fan vote. There's a few that I like. New Noise, Bulls on Parade, Blind, and probably The Axeman just because it would be cool.
  20. PrinceEatMeat
New Noise just took the lead! Hopefully it stays that way, because there is no way I wanna see the good, the bad, and the ugly win this. Although, I'm not sure that Axford will actually pick the song with the most votes. He's probably just curious to see what the fans think.

I felt this way about him all along. I wanted to get rid of him because of it, and I'm glad we got a great asset like Marcum for him. Couldn't be happier about it. When you are under a professional contract you are held to a certain standard, which Lawrie doesn't live up too. Sure Braun might've partied in college, but since he's been a pro he's been nothing but professional. Good professionals don't act like complete tools like Lawrie does. There's obviously plenty of others like him, but those aren't guys I want on this team.
  22. PrinceEatMeat
I like Rivera too, but after today he's gonna be 0-4 on getting starts in spring training games. He hasn't even appeared in a game yet. Hopefully he does soon.
  23. PrinceEatMeat
    I want DiFelice.
  24. PrinceEatMeat
Didn't Coffey have the Ultimate Warrior's theme as his music? Voodoo Child would be sweet. But yeah, like I said earlier in this thread, I agree with you guys. The good, the bad, and the ugly makes no sense as an intro song. It wouldn't pump anyone up. Since New Noise is the only one close to it in the voting, I hope it passes it. It's 71-67 right now.

http://www.jsonline.com/blogs/sports/117202593.html Looks like that's the reason he's the only player unsigned on the 40-man roster.
