    Honestly, given that the fact that this has turned into a contending team, both Weeks and Wang have no business being on the roster. Weeks needs to be replaced by someone who can provide more flexibility and actually help the team, and Wang's spot needs to be used for flexibility in the pen. Cycle between guys like Wooten, Figaro, and whoever else, so the pen doesn't get overworked. I realize that Wooten is up right now, but someone has to go when Schafer returns on Saturday. If it were me, I would've just dumped Weeks or Wang to call-up Wooten, and the other when Schafer returns. I probably would've sent down Herrera for Gindl too, just to have someone who can actually play RF.

    I don't see how Weeks can last the season on the roster. They can't go on with 2 1B and 2 2B on the roster. Need more flexibility than that. Overbay at least provides a LHH alternative at 1B, which no one else on the roster can do. Whereas, someone like Bianchi or Herrera could take some starts against LHP at 2B. Doesn't have to be Weeks. I'd like to see Scooter get some opportunities too. Wouldn't be a bad thing to just play him everyday. Herrera needs to stay on the roster due to his flexibility. Solves a lot of problems.

    Great AAA stats, and now 3 for 10 in the majors? Man am I heartbroken.

    Seriously, what is everyone's problem with Ryan Joseph Gennett? He has been great thus far and currently sports a 720 OPS, has made not only the routine plays but great ones too. I think he contributes more than "little else" as you state. I just don't understand the hate for him. What did I say to knock Gennett? I simply said that Weeks is essentially useless if he's not getting more at-bats to stay sharp at the plate, and he clearly won't with how Gennett has played. Therefore, he should be released then. I personally like Weeks, but he doesn't have much value to the team right now. Bianchi or Herrera could play against some LHP. That's not a knock on Gennett either. He just struggles more against LHP.

    1B - Can't do much. Just roll with Reynolds. Overbay sucks, but there's really no one to replace him. I'd probably just dump him and let Lucroy and Maldy backup 1B. 2B - Weeks either needs to play more or get released, because he's a waste of a bench spot just like Overbay due to his lack of versatility. Bianchi or Herrara could face LHP if need be. LF - Just ride it out. Maybe give Schafer more starts. I'd dump Overbay and Weeks and call up Gindl and keep Herrera around. SS - Not even a question here. Keep rolling out Segura.

    Waiting for the phantom injury to pop up before Gorzelanny comes off the DL.

    Definitely marked out tonight when Evolution reunited. Theme music and all. That was pretty sweet. That match against The Shield at Extreme Rules is gonna be epic.

    It'll be interesting to see what happens when Gorzelanny is ready to come off the DL. Will they just dump Duke, or will Wang's spot end up in jeopardy?

    Based on the article I posted above, I am encouraged. He has seemed to find a solution to manage the pain at the plate reasonably well, between a new way of padding and adjusting his swing. If that continues to work, the only real problem will be the blisters and bruises he gets from playing the field. He'll likely have to continue taking regular days off, but that isn't as bad as it could be.

    Seeing as throwing hurts and aggravates Braun's thumb, I think he should be thrown into the 1B mix. If not now, then next season.

    You almost have to think that moving him to 1B is a legit option at some point since this problem will never go away. Seems like the throwing is what causes the blisters and bruises, which then affects his hitting also. I never thought it was a possibility before, but now it does seem like a pretty legit option. However, I highly doubt a move happens during the season. Never know though I guess.

    Hmmmm. Although you'd think he would've sat out both if it meant something.

    The only way he'll put up even close to those numbers you listed is if he sits out a lot of games throughout the season. If he doesn't, then he'll look bad most of the time like he did yesterday. But either way, his power numbers won't be there like you said.

    Yep, and he looked terrible yesterday. Not in the lineup today. So not good.

    He hit 3 of his 4 HR by March 5. After that his numbers weren't that outstanding the rest of spring. He said it started to flare up as ST went on. So really once it flared up, his numbers got progressively worse, and that has continued into the season. It's really frustrating.

    Roenicke said a few days ago that he planned to DH Ramirez, Lucroy, and Segura in this series. I have a hard time believing that this is being done just to protect Braun from the fans. Braun himself even said that the thumb started to get worse as he got more spring training at-bats.

    No one picked him up. The move doesn't look so bad now, seeing as none of the other 29 teams jumped at the chance to sign him.
