  1. I think the logical destination for Ramirez is now San Fran. That's a perfect park for RH pull hitters, and they just lost Sandoval.
  2. I'd take Martin Perez in a Greinke trade for sure. I think a lot of people are overlooking him while they pine for Profar and Olt.
  3. K-Rod now has no trade value, but he actually helped us out by making Melvin finally pull the trigger and decide to sell. He was clearly still teetering, but that's now officially over based on his comments. So in the end, he may end up causing us to get some value for players we otherwise wouldn't've traded. So it is what it is. Maybe someone will just take him for practically nothing, and at least take his salary. Kind of like the rumored Wolf situation.
  4. Jon Morosi ‏@jonmorosi #Rangers and #Marlins have discussed Josh Johnson, sources confirm. @MLBONFOX This is from 3 minutes ago from one of the most credible sources there is. That doesn't sound like anything close to a done deal to me, they are just talking.
  5. I don't think waiting for other pitchers to be traded is a good idea. We want as many suitors as possible bidding for Greinke's services.
  6. http://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2012/07/phillies-close-to-extension-with-cole-hamels.html?utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter Well, this makes Greinke officially the biggest prize on the trade market.
  7. http://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2012/07/phillies-close-to-extension-with-cole-hamels.html?utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter Hamels is signing his extension. Probably just jacks up Greinke's price even more. Not comparing him to Hamels, but any contract that big to a pitcher increases the market value. Greinke is now the biggest prize on the trade market.
  8. Unfortunately for him, it's not his choice. Unless he takes the contract offer, which he won't.
  9. JIM BOWDEN ‏@JimBowdenESPNxm Brewers would love to be able to turn Aramis Ramirez into Zach Lee of Dodgers then turn Greinke into Mike Olt of the Rangers but unlikely I think many of us have speculated this, and apparently Bowden is thinking the same way.
  10. http://msn.foxsports.com/mlb/story/chicago-white-sox-gm-ken-williams-could-make-bold-move-for-zack-greinke-at-trade-deadline-072412 This is interesting. White Sox might make a play for Greinke with the Blue Jays as the 3rd team.
  11. I'd be all for that. Not much risk involved for the Brewers, and would greatly help the rotation next season with no long-term commitment.
  12. If they want Wolf back for some reason, they could probably get him for practically nothing after buying him out. I doubt there will be much demand for him in the offseason.
  13. I'd trade him personally, but if it's someone like Olt, there's also the option of trading Hart and playing him at 1B. I'd rather dump Ramirez's contract though.
  14. I can definitely see Punk using not being in the main event of any PPVs as the WWE Champion as one of his talking points next week to complete his turn.
  15. My hope is that Melvin is able to land Olt from the Rangers for Greinke, so he then decides to pull the trigger on a Ramirez trade. Although he could still have value this offseason and possibly next year, but I think the time is now to shed that deal. That deal will be absolutely horrible beyond 2013. He's incredibly expendable with a legit replacement like Olt on board.
  16. Yeah, could've been better, but I still enjoyed it. Austin couldn't come because he's filming Grown Ups 2 and couldn't get off from his filming schedule.
  17. I read that the Rangers are looking at him, but would prefer Hamels or Greinke.
  18. He ended the tweet by saying that was his opinion, but that is probably what will happen. Seeing as Greinke hasn't taken it already, he won't accept it.
  19. Something tells me we are gonna get a BIG Pipe Bomb next week on RAW. Yep. I think this is the big summer angle that was rumored. Or at least the start of it.
  20. Well, Punk just turned heel. That. Was. Awesome.
  21. That's true. Probably pissed Melvin off though.
  22. I have a feeling that Cena won't be holding the title at the Rumble, but it's possible. I feel like if they were gonna do a Rock/Cena rematch then they would hold it back until WrestleMania 29. It's hard to imagine the Rock not winning the title at the Rumble, and would they really have Cena job to him twice? I could see Rock winning it, Brock wins the Rumble, and then they face each other at Mania.
  23. I doubt AJ ends up with the role for an extended period of time, but I like the move right now. I agree that Flair is a possibility down the road.
  24. Of course Roenicke had to come out today and make a stupid comment saying that it may take Greinke 3-4 starts to get right again. Hopefully that doesn't turn off teams, but it still wasn't a smart comment on his part. http://www.cbssports.com/mlb/blog/danny-knobler/19642525/brewers-say-greinke-is-fine,-but-he'd-better-prove-it-soon-(preferably-tuesday)
