  1. Exactly. The Divas nowadays are a disgrace compared to those divas. None of them light a candle to Trish and Lita, or really any of those divas you mentioned. The only two who come close are Beth and Natalya. Problem is that there's no one adequate enough for either of them to feud with to find out how good they actually could be.
  2. I don't bother watching reactions to crappy matches like that, I fast forward right through them. Watching Raw DVR'd if more satisfying that way, and I can finish watching it in about 45-60 minutes instead of taking 2 hours.
  3. Got pickup for the Yanks. I'm guessing he'll make the team as a utility player. He's good friends with CC, so it makes sense.
  4. Apparently HHH was furious, and screamed at the Miz in front of the whole locker room after this match for a lengthy period of time. Miz is certainly earning himself a lot of heat recently. Apparently he wasn't in the right spot, not that he just decided not to catch him. Still an inexcusable error that could've caused Truth to be severely injured.
  5. Update from Jim Bowden today in his ESPN Insider blog about the top remaining free agents. 5. Derrek Lee, 1B There were a lot of first base openings this offseason, namely in Tampa Bay, Cleveland, Milwaukee and Pittsburgh. The Rays signed Carlos Pena and the Indians inked Casey Kotchman, leaving Lee with just two viable options -- the Milwaukee Brewers and Pittsburgh Pirates. The Brewers are over budget and are committed to giving a shot to youngster Mat Gamel. Meanwhile, the Pirates would love to have Lee back but don’t want to have to pay a fortune. Lee, like so many veterans this time of year, must decide between playing one more year on the cheap, or just walking away. He fits best with the Pirates, but they are not yet a contender so Lee could follow in the footsteps of Jermaine Dye and decide to retire because no team was willing to pay him a reasonable amount. Lee is still an above-average defender who can still hit with power. But he is an injury risk. His leadership would be helpful if he decides to keep playing.
  6. Laurinaitis will be around at least until after WrestleMania, because that's when HHH will have more time for storylines besides the one he has with Taker. Not sure if that will lead to a new GM or not, guess we'll wait an see.
  7. Yep, the Jericho/Punk stuff was pure gold. The rest of the show was pure garbage. That's about all there is to it. Thought it was incredibly random to just throw Kane on there for the last minute too. Way to many video packages and recaps, and recaps of the video packages. Very bad show. Also, that was really weak on Miz's part to wuss out and not catch Truth on that dive. He could've been seriously injured on that, but luckily he wasn't.
  8. Yep, I second those sentiments. Those were the good old days for sure. Wrestling was definitely better back then. Hasn't been the same since the attitude era ended. But I still watch, and I love it. It's just something I can't get away from, and probably never will. It's too addicting.
  9. The sad thing is that this is apparently part of a big push for her. How that makes sense is beyond me. Oh well, just another stupid storyline I guess.
  10. Yeah, back when they charged $1.19 for a McDouble, which is now on the dollar menu. 1992 McDonald's was a rip-off. Lol.
  11. There's a thread in the trading post about this as Hawing said a couple weeks ago. But the bobbles are Lucroy, Gallardo, Morgan, Italian, Uecker, and Ramirez.
  12. The real question now that they didn't do K-Rod or Marcum is who will be the bobbles next year? I suppose they could throw out another Weeks and probably Gamel assuming he keeps his job. But then who else besides the sausage? Assuming we don't end up re-signing Marcum that is, otherwise he'd be an obvious choice. They're basically left with Gonzalez and Gomez, unless they start repeating guys right away. Guess they could do a Roenicke or something to take up a spot.
  13. Doesn't make sense that the Hot Dog is first either. Should go Brat, Polish, Italian, Hot Dog, Chorizo. Now that would make sense.
  14. This article also mentions the Brewers as a possible suitor for Mike Gonzalez. Wouldn't mind having him either.
  15. Here it is guys. Basically an article about remaining free agents. This was the part about Lee. I'd definitely take Lee if comes cheap on a 1-year deal. He'd be good against tough LHP at 1B and would provide some power off the bench. Derrek Lee, 1B Lee can still field his position and could find a taker in the Milwaukee Brewers on a one-year deal, or possibly the Oakland Athletics. The Cubs could be interested as their current plan is start Anthony Rizzo in Triple-A and go with Bryan LaHair as the starter at first.
  16. You know what, that might not be too far off base... They could have him announcing any number of key plays from the playoffs... Ugggghhhhhhh.... Yep. So don't get your hopes up yet. What would be cool is if all of them were talking bobbles. That would get expensive though.
  17. I like that there's gonna be another Uecker one. So sick of the sausages though. Odd that it's Italian again so soon though. Wasn't there an Italian in 2010? It's weird that they are 7/1 and 7/29. Both in same month. Means there won't be one in either August or September. Wonder who will get the last spot? I'd say Marcum or Ramirez. Probably Marcum, because he may not be here next year. They have 2 more years to do a Ramirez bobble.
  18. Two shows I'd definitely suggest that you watch that aren't on that list are How I Met Your Mother and The Big Bang Theory. Awesome shows. Also, even though it's over, I was a big fan of King of Queens. Two and a Half Men with Ashton Kutcher is pretty good, although I still liked it with Charlie Sheen. Just started watching Alcatraz, which is pretty interesting if you're into that kind of thing.
  19. Yep, the whole reason for the brand split was likely for business. I think it also makes it easier on the talent too. They split the house shows between Raw and Smackdown, which obviously wasn't the case before the split. Really the only reason Smackdown stars appear on Raw is to help get them over, because not as many people watch Smackdown. It really doesn't make any sense, but they do what they have to do. I personally would like it to end, but I guess it's decent how it is. I get to see all the top guys on Raw, so it's basically like their all on one show anyway.
  20. To be fair, most of them were never really Bucks fans. Just followed Wade when he left Marquette and became Miami fans. They weren't good at that time. But yeah, I'm sure some have jumped on now that LeBron's there too.
  21. Not sure he'll even defend the title before WrestleMania at the earliest, so he'll break that record for sure.
  22. The IC and US Titles would have a lot more significance if there was only one World Title. That was the main problem with splitting the brands. Basically all of the other titles became irrelevant. The Tag Titles could be more revived then too. I'd rather see one World Title, and bring back the Hardcore and European or something. Would be a lot better.
  23. Let's see the options for that match based on the rest of the projected card would then be Orton, Show, Henry, Khali, Christian, Del Rio, Ziggler, Miz, Swagger, Kane, Booker T, Nash, Mysterio, and Foley. That at least leaves some leeway to fill the rest of the card. I think it's definitely doable. Even if Mysterio is hurt and you don't use Nash, Booker, or Foley. There's still 10 options there for the 8 spots. Could just take out Orton and Show for other matches and have Henry, Khali, Christian, Del Rio, Ziggler, Miz, Swagger, and Kane in the match. That wouldn't be wise though in my opinion. I'd rather see guys like Kingston, Rhodes, and Truth in there than bigger guys.
  24. Yeah, a K-Rod bobble would've been cool. Never know, still could happen. Just seems kind of risky to do unless it was one of the first ones.
  25. The main thing this proves is how stupid the brand separation is. Might as well get rid of it for good. Even though I doubt they will.
