    Kotsay's a good guy, but I'm glad he's gone. Roenicke had an infatuation with him that I'll never understand. I wouldn't be surprised to see a young guy get the role.

    Rollins is clearly the better option, but I'd rather have Furcal on a 2 year deal than Rollins on a 4 or 5 year deal.

    Furcal has the same agent as free agent......wait for it......Aramis Ramirez. AHHHHH! Yep, this really makes me curious. Ramirez would look really good hitting cleanup behind Braun. I don't care if he plays 1B or 3B. Although, it's obviously 3B in all actuality.

    I wish I was at that meeting though, because Paul Kinzer (Furcal's agent) also represents Aramis Ramirez. I'd be curious to know if Melvin has more interest in him.

    FWIW, Melvin had lunch with Paul Kinzer today in Milwaukee. Kinzer is the agent for free agents Rafael Furcal and Aramis Ramirez. Very interesting.

    We've known this all along. This is the number 1 reason why he won't return. If the Brewers could afford it, I honestly believe he would be back. But that's not the case.

    Yeah, I agree with this. I highly doubt the Marlins get Pujols, so I think it's a likely destination for Prince. He lives in Florida, and likes being home. Plus, as you said, they'll pay him a lot.

    Agreed. The MLB shouldn't be considering eliminating draft pick compensation, they should just overhaul the system. It should be more like the NFL. I hate the ranking system they use.

    Lebron would probably immediately jump on the Marlins bandwagon and be seen sitting behind home plate in a Pujols jersey. The Cardinals fans would hate Pujols as much as Cleveland hates Lebron. Lebron would rejoice for not being the only superstar to bolt to another city, and it would actually be the same city, lol.

    Don't you think they'll wrestle before then though? Possibly at TLC? I don't see how they could put off the match until Mania. Sure they might end up wrestling each other at Mania, but I would think they'll face off before then.

    Yeah, I really think the Marlins are just keeping their options open. They'll try to sign a big name SP and either Pujols or Fielder first. If they fail, then they'll go for Reyes. If the Brewers come in now and make a serious offer they will have a good shot to get him. We'll see what happens I guess. I think it'll take a little while for this to play out though. Gotta wait for the market to fall into place. I think Pujols or Fielder, or both, need to sign before Reyes goes anywhere. Reyes will probably wait to see what his options are after that happens.

    I'm with you on that. I really want Lee signed to, at the least, platoon with Gamel at 1B. If Gamel struggles Lee could probably be a nice stopgap playing everyday. He still has something left in the tank. He proved that last year.

    So after that Nash promo last night, where does everyone think this storyline is going? It seems to be incredibly slow going right now. Probably because Nash was off filming a movie and wasn't cleared to wrestle for awhile, so everything got pushed back. I hope it picks up a little bit now. I still think there will be more to it than just Nash/HHH. I think HBK may get involved at some point.

    Yeah, I'm still not sure we can get him over the Marlins or Tigers, but we'll see I guess. It's interesting to know that we actually do have real interest though. It was mostly just random reports with speculation before.

    Jon Heyman just tweeted that he is hearing that the Brewers have pretty much given up on any hope of keeping Fielder and have shifted their focus to Reyes.
