  1. I know they have one for the Verizon version of that phone called Scanner or Bar Code. Turns your camera into a scanner. Scan anything with a bar code, and it gives you directions to the closest place to find it.
  2. Have you ever been to an elite 8 or sweet 16? Not many people there at all, because they make you buy tickets for the whole session. If your team looses the first game, then people usually go home, and don't hang around. The Bradley Center I think would be big enough, unless maybe by luck you got Wisconsin or Marquette in that regional.
  3. The problems with concerts is that they tear up the field pretty bad, and you wouldn't want that mid season. The problem about getting a basketball game there is that it is fairly cold in Miller Park during the winter months. Don't know if they can heat it if they want. Also, the NCAA is looking at even bigger venues for the final four so they can make even more money, ie Ford Field, and supposedly they are supposed to have the final four at the new stadium in Dallas sometime soon. You're talking about double and triple the amount of people that can be held at Miller Park. I think that it would be nice to have concerts there too, but would the cost of tearing up the field be worth the extra money?
  4. I've had AT&T for the last 4 yrs, and there service is terrible, especially inside buildings.
  5. I really want to buy the batting gloves from the Futures game he was in in St. Louis, but just can't justify the price. $250 at LOF. I only payed $275 for my Griffey Jr. UDA Jersey. Seems like they just rip people off.
  6. All of the other pieces that I have are Alcides Escobar, so I'm trying to stick with him. Thanks for the info guys
  7. So, I have some memorabilia that I am going to frame. I decided that for the fourth "Piece" for the frame I am going to do a trio of baseball cards. Not being very familiar with baseball cards (Haven't collected them since I was 10), what do you look for? What are the top brands? Which ones tend to be worth more long run if the player blows up? Probably going to look for a AA, AAA, and rookie card. Just looking for a couple of nice looking cards. They will be going with an auto'd bat, aut'd 8x10, and an auto'd baseball. Anyone know how you attatch the photo and cards to a frame without wrecking them also? Also if anyone else has any other idea's for a "4th Piece" different than this, it would be greatly appreciated. Just looking for ideas, and this is the best that I could come up with.
  8. It is difficult to say Escobar is already better than Hardy just because we haven't seen him play much, but I don't think it is a stretch to say he has the tools and potential to be the better fielder by the end of the season. I would say Hardy is a slightly above average SS. By the end of the season I expect Escobar to be a top 5 SS by scouting reports and from what I have seen.Couldn't agree with you more thebruce. After seeing Escobar play last spring training, you could tell that JJ's days were numbered in my opinion. Remember most of Escobars errors in the minors last year were when they moved him to second when Weeks got hurt. As far as the people down on the Hardy trade for Gomez, what did you expect for the crappy last two seasons. Hardy was an average infielder at best in my opinion, and his offense beginning to end last season was crap, and the season before that he was horrible the second half. I think that Gomez is gonna be a stud. We were not going to get any good pitching for Hardy, and why do we need more back of of the rotation talent? We had enough of that already.
  9. The one thing that we learned when we went was that there are no short commutes to the stadiums. We stayed at the Cottonwoods Resort in Scottsdale. Would definitely go back again. More of a suite concept. We booked through Travelocity, and I believe we payed around $700 each (3 of us) for one week there, flight from Milwaukee (Direct), and we rented a Toyota 4Runner. They had shuttles to the bars, and it was only like a $10 cab ride back to the hotel if the shuttle was down. We had 2 queen beds, seperate living room with pull out couch, private jacuzzi (although you would have a hard time fitting more than 2 people in it), but they had a huge pool/bar area, tennis courts, really close to golf courses, and some nice restraunts (definitely go to Blanco Taco if your in the area) within walking distance. We also had a great view of the mountains right out our back door. The staff was very helpful in finding nightlife, giving us info about different spring training facilities, etc. Definitely check out Camelback Ranch, I believe that's where the Dodgers and White Sox play. Very cool stadium, and the one in Glendale is very cool, but I forget who plays there, believe it is the Reds and someone else. I would definitely stay there again. DON'T DRINK AND DRIVE DOWN THERE!!! There drunk driving laws down there are very strict. My buddy who lives down there got a DUI pulling into his apartment complex. Minimum 10 day in "Tent City" which is there version of Huber I believe.
  10. You could always make them. It's fairly easy
  11. In my opinion it's a feel thing. I scratch, so I like a little more slip. Is there a place near you that you can try them out? In Madison Audio Depot usually has some stuff set up so you can check it out.
  12. Bought myself an Alcides Escobar signed bat
  13. Congrats. Here's a little advice 1. get drunk 2. make some bad decisions. 3. repeat for the rest of your life. It's all downhill from here
  14. Ok here's what I have. A ball, a bat, and an 8x10 photo all signed by the same player. Does anyone have any ideas on how to do this? If anyone has any photo's of something that they have it would be greatly appreciated. Looking to build something.
  15. I actually went and tested some phones today. The Moto Droid really didn't impress me that much. Being able to speak everything that you want to do part is cool, but I had 2 different ones freeze up on me while I was there, and it just felt weird. I also checked out the Eris. Seemed pretty solid, the keyboard is a bit small for my fat fingers, but oh well. For some reason I am diggin the Storm 2. The Surepress technology on it is much better than the first version that I checked out. Question for smartphone users. Is it semi-common for the phones to freeze up where you have to reboot them? Seems to be a common gripe with a lot of the phones I've been checking out.
  16. Yes, I would love to get back to Sprint, but I moved from Madison to a small town just north, and they don't have any reception where I live ( I roam constantly). It sucks, had them all through college in Oshkosh, and when I moved to Madison, loved them, but no service where I live.
  17. I played around on the new storm, and thought that it was a lot better than the last one. The knock I heard on the Droid is that it is good for almost everything except for the actual phone. I don't need that many apps. Basically just for e-mail, and surf the web. Never had a smartphone before, so I'm trying to do a little research into which ones are the best. My buddy has an Omnia, and don't really care for it, but I don't know if the improvements on the Omnia 2 will be all that great.
  18. Question for the Verizon Users out there. Do any of you have the Motorola Droid or Storm 2? My contract is coming up, and I have been trying to decide which one to go with (or any other suggestions). Basically need e-mail, and web, everything else is a bonus. Sick of the crappy AT&T network, so looking to switch. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
  19. There is a frame shop in Middleton, right on university that has a sale banner on custom framing. As far as a name plate, I know there is a place in the mall that does custom engraving plates super cheap. Think I had one done for about $15, can't remember though. For work, we have all of our stuff framed at the Great Frame Up over by Woodman's on the west side. The do pretty decent work on pictures (not impressed with there Jersey's), but they are not the cheapest place in the world if I recall correctly.
  20. I've only used Toro, and have never had a problem with them. I only use single stage, and have a pretty big driveway and sidewalk, but would probably suggest going with a two stage. (My dad has a plow truck I can use if it gets really bad). The thing about spending the little bit extra on a top tier is that you'll probably be less likely to have problems with them, which will only cost you less money in the long run. Also, if you buy a middle tier and it breaks down in the middle of a snowstorm, how pissed will you be when you are shoveling? Just my opinion, hope it helps
  21. Couldn't agree more RyDogg. You take all of that money off the black market, I don't think that you would see a lot of the violence.
  22. You think that they would let them play in a bowl game just so that they can get the extra practice in.
  23. I hope so, that guy is about 50 ft away from where I usually stand to watch the game if I get a minute. That guy is such a tool.
  24. Alright, so here's a little update on the list of things going on at this. Goes from 6:15-8 in the Nicholas Johnson Pavillion just inside Gate B Big Screens to watch the other ACC/Big Ten Challenge Game going on Will be selling food, Beer(Spotted Cow and Miller Lite, or Bud Light) Wine, Soda Master of Ceremonies - Andy North: 2 time U.S. Open Champion Speakers: Starting at Approximately 7:05 Barry Alvarez Mike Cragg (Duke Representative) Howard Moore (Badger Assistant Coach) This event is open and free to the public, but DOES NOT GET YOU INTO THE GAME. Must have a ticket to enter the game. For anyone who goes if you could shoot me your thoughts on the event. What you liked, didn't like, if you would go again. Trying to see if this is something that we would do a couple of times a year.
  25. After watching Cain play in Spring Training last year, I was really impressed with his talent in all aspects. I think that the injury last year is the reason why some may not have heard of him. I think that he might have been up in the later part of last year until his injury.
