  1. The window is shut. It's a question now of whether they deal Giannis to try and salvage some kind of rebuild or just play it out with 42-48 win seasons where everyone knows they aren't a true contender, which has been the case since 2 years after the championship. We sold out to win one, and we won one. It does feel like we could have gotten a second one, but I'd argue the time to do that was probably 2019. The sun has set on this era. I like Giannis, so I hope he is able to pile one or two on with somebody else.
  2. I don't think Turbo was making this point, but I find it laughable when people have complained about kids at the press conferences. Nothing of value comes of those. My favorite is when it's called "unprofessional."
  3. There's always that one guy the whole fan base randomly obsesses over and it was Dejean this year.
  4. If Giannis isn't healthy enough to play they weren't going to win 4 games anyway. If he is healthy enough to play, I don't think it's over quite yet.
  5. 6 seconds is eternity. That's a recipe for Wiscon heartbreak. You nail two ridiculous shots and then get crushed.
  6. That sequence was one of the most embarrassing and unbelievable things I've seen in the NBA in a long time.
  7. I'm completely shocked they made this a game.
  8. Fork'em. A disaster of a season from day one.
  9. You can never have too many OL. No issues with it.
  10. Nothing would be funnier to me than Caleb Williams sucking.
  11. That's exactly what I've started doing. As I said I just don't go anymore, but for now, I've still been buying the bobbles. The prices on them also completely collapse in the offseason. The Doyle one may lean toward the exception there, but the standard ones end up going for $5 within 2 years. I can afford going to games, but do feel like the value prop has diminished. Lots of reasons why, but I think AmFam is lackluster on food, I'm probably getting old and grump about crowds and traffic, and to be honest the sustained success has just made me spoiled. I don't feel like I need to go anymore.
  12. I wouldn't even bother having Giannis go until they've lost 2 games - and obviously he's physically able to play. That was a huge win if for no other reason than meaning they leave MKE with the extra 2 days off, at worst, tied 1-1. If they can go to Indiana up 2-0 it's incredible. He wouldn't even necessarily have to travel with them.
  13. That game seemed incredibly short.
  14. Haven't seen that name in a while. Had a friend that named him Yuniesky Badatsports.
  15. Gambling doesn't melt steel beams
  16. I've been wrong many times but I don't think they'll trade Giannis, at least not soon. From a business standpoint I don't see how it's a positive. It will piss off so many people and let's be honest, once he leaves town we are likely back to the doldrums. The best possible outcome would be getting enough back to be a perennial middling playoff team. The only path to the championship in Milwaukee is striking gold with a pick like him again. Giannis is butts in the seats even if their ceiling is the 2nd round of the playoffs. I think it's more likely he asks out to chase more rings once he sees the window here is shut.
  17. You aren't considering two things, one of which has been a staple of Disney World. They don't need to sell as many tickets if they sell them at a higher price point, but more importantly: Those buying at a higher price are better in-the-gates customers. They spend more. They're not packing lunch or filling up waters at fountains. They are the ones buying things in the shops too.
  18. Yeah I think they are primed to lose in the first round. I think every fan outside of Milwaukee (and some inside of it) can see that this is a team with a superstar and a washed up cast.
  19. I must be getting old. Last year I dropped my ticket plan and to be honest, I think I'm just over live sports. I'm sure I'll go here and there for group outings. But the driving, the traffic, the thinking about what time I'll get back and need to prepare life for the next day...it just feels like a lot. I haven't been to Lambeau since 2016. I had a Bucks plan last season and the situation around the arena on Gameday is just a nightmare. It's not so much a cost thing as it is inconvenience, and even if I can afford it, it doesn't feel like a great value for money when I can watch it at home with food and drink and a clean toilet. A Sunday 1pm game at AmFam means I am booked from at least 11 until 530. I'm sure there is still plenty of value to be had when there are 81 games. I think I just got to a point where it wasn't all that much fun to be there.
  20. I'm not suggesting this was negligence or purposeful but it is pretty alarming the team staff thought this was no biggie and someone else discovers he can't play for 3 months.
  21. I think Jones was better in GB than he'll be anywhere else. I think that Jacobs is probably an upgrade but this could end up like the "upgrade" of Jared Cook to Martellus Bennett.
  22. 1/7 and the Packers couldn't do that? Seems like a dumb move to me honestly. Unless they were seeking more assurances from GB I can't believe they valued him less than that. Hope this doesn't backfire.
  23. Well, we're not in Ted's GB anymore, that's for sure.
  24. Jacobs from 2 years ago is better than Jones, but I'd be hard pressed to say he's more productive than Jones. When Jones isn't banged up I honestly don't know that he's not a top 3 RB in the NFL. He does everything. He is incredibly explosive. He turns negative plays into 10-yard runs. The only thing keeping his production down when healthy is the number of touches they choose to give him. A career YPC of 5 is insanely good for a back that's been around that long. I don't think it's productivity so much as it is age and health. Jones missed a LOT of time last year. They were really bad when he was out. They have to consider his reliability at 29/30 especially when putting the weight of a championship on his shoulders. I think it has more to do with that than any productivity drop off. Jones was still so, so good down the stretch.
  25. I do get it, even if the fan in me doesn't like it. They were trying to restructure, it wasn't going well, once they saw options and pricing on the FA market they probably decided that was better to get another explosive playmaker who is 4 years younger. Jones then lost any leverage. It's hard to watch when it's your favorite players but it is a shrewd move. I've spent a long time listening to fans criticize the Packers for not moving on or paying a guy one contract too many. They've generally been good at timing these sorts of things. Always sucks, but I get why it happened.
