  1. Yet the Patriots got nothing for Brady. The Colts got nothing for Manning. Brady was a free agent, but they could have structured his deals to keep him under contract with the intention of keeping trade leverage. Teams don't give up huge draft capital for QBs pushing 40, even elite ones. I can't think of one instance. Ever. They'll get something....but two 1s would surprise me. I think people will be very disappointed. They have no leverage. Teams know we're moving on, and Rodgers will have say in where he goes, they can't just have a bidding war for him. Neither of those is a great comp, honestly. And they can't have a bidding war? Says who? You? It takes 2 teams. No offense to you man, none at all...but you do get quite dramatic about huge losses like this and their consequences. It was you, in 2018, saying the Packers championship window was unequivocally closed. I'm sure you're going to say you were right, but that was clearly not true.
  2. Not just there. They missed him in the middle of the field. He's not just big, he is a matchup problem for a secondary that is not very good to begin with. I'm not big on dumping on a single player emotionally and TV doesn't give you great angles to evaluate, so I don't know what Rodgers was seeing tonight. But it felt like nobody not named Adams was even glanced at. Somebody else had to get involved in the offense. Those that have said the lack of a 2nd WR would hurt them may have been right. Or maybe Rodgers didn't do enough. I'm not sure. After the obvious ST for the ages that many of us feared, that was the single biggest reason they lost tonight. Once SF settled in and took away the stuff underneath, they were never tested vertically at ALL.
  3. The NFC ain't really working for him either lol, maybe he should play Arena League or something then
  4. I think 2 firsts is likely. They may benefit from how well Brady has played at his age. What may hurt them though is that teams are basically going to know the Packers have to deal him if they're taking the calls this year. Last year, keeping him was a card they held. Feels like they may not have it to play anymore. Night all. Sorry it did not work out...again.
  5. Zero chance he is traded within the division. Below zero, if that is even possible. I hope you are right that they get a big package back for him. I fear they won't, though. Tonight's performance certainly didn't raise his trade value. It more than likely hurt it. It did nothing to it honestly. Tonight's performance did nothing to ward off Pittsburgh or Denver or any other team whose QB situation absolutely sucks.
  6. Personally I think they'll get a haul for Rodgers long after the emotions of tonight settle. The financials are a thing I'm not keen on but there are several good teams right on the verge and he would be go a long way to helping them. And it will take just two to make that happen.
  7. 9ers made a run at him last season which is hilarious after tonight.
  8. He thinks Love is better than you do. It's not tearing it down to him. It's the opportunity to build the roster he wants, not hamstrung by paying one guy $40 million. I said part of him is happy if he can wash his hands of Rodgers. Not happy to go 3-14.
  9. Everyone at 1265 Lombardi Ave. I don't even buy that. I think there's a part of Brian Gutekunst that will never go public to anybody that is at least a little bit OK with tonight's events if it leads to a very easy Rodgers departure. I'm sure MLF would love to have him back.
  10. To be honest, regardless of how this ended, I was always leery of a 3-4 year deal for a 30 year old WR anyway. If there's any upside to what just happened it's that the Packers may have gotten a get out of Aaron's jail free card on a bunch of moves they'd have been strong-armed into by their championship MVP QB.
  11. Is anybody actually rejoicing if Rodgers says tomorrow he wants to play in GB again? I don't mean this at all as a shot to him, but who cares? It isn't working and they are in a mess financially. You gotta cut the cord and try something else at some point, don't you?
  12. I think one big difference between last season and this season is most were hoping they'd work things out. I think even if you don't blame Rodgers for tonight, which is fair or whatever...it seems like most just want the marriage to end now. A breakup now would seem much more amicable.
  13. It's time regardless. Obviously a championship would have been ideal but how in the world does Rodgers lace up again for this organization? Both sides have to feel like the mojo is just not there at this point. Probably best for both to turn the page. A sad end for sure. He did not have a great game, but neither did Jimmy and he is moving on. Personally...I am more than ready to find the simple pleasures in a rebuild of sorts and lower stakes 4-7 win seasons. I can't take any more of these. It just all feels sour at this point. I hope Rodgers can finish the job for someone else.
  14. Nobody more than a casual fan believes anything about Lambeau mystique. Their pretty record was padded by not making the playoffs for 25 years and the fact that when they used to make it, they were Lombardi's Kings. Once they were decent but nothing special they lost a whole bunch of games. It's meaningless. Honestly they've probably been a better indoor team for some time now.
  15. The offense and special teams were bad and catastrophic, respectively. Like so bad that literally not getting a punt AND FG blocked and they may have won. They could have taken one, just not both, and maybe been ok. Think about that. That was the margin.
  16. They may not be a watch for anyone for a few years here...
  17. Maybe, but 12 wears the crown tonight too. They scored 10 points.
  18. Odd thing is I feel more numb to this than usual and just want to go to bed. Maybe because in the back of my head I was always leery of something like this. Finally one you can't pin on the defense and it made absolutely no difference.
  19. Thank God the Bucks won the Finals.
  20. Too bad the defense has to be on the field to lose this embarrassment.
  21. We're going to spend an off-season wondering what may have happened had we been able to get a punt off.
  22. I think the weather was a concern for the wrong team going in. A team that hates to pass and plays good defense is fine with this.
  23. It will be the most inept for sure. Incredible how little offense the opponent produced.
  24. You'd say unbelievable but it's anything but. One more silly play and we are toast.
