  1. We stink. This is a late 90s Brewer team. No pitching and a free-swinging offense with a couple bombers.
  2. I don't know if bandwagon fan is a fair term. I think people in Wisconsin would just like to watch a playoff game more often than once every 30 years that doesn't involve the Packers. Milwaukee really doesn't ask a lot of the Brewers.
  3. Good to see our 2-3-4 put up such a valiant fight in the 9th. New season optimism had me excited for baseball, but this team is just as bad as or worse than 2009. Saw enough of Miller Park and this pitching staff on Friday night. Won't be going back this year without a free ticket. Pathetic.
  4. I'm sorry but this team is pathetic. This is literally the exact same crap that was happening all of last season. Our starters get rocked and even when they don't, our pen is there to choke away the lead. The Brewers will win 78ish games this year because we can score runs, unfortunately when we score 6 runs we give up 8. I am amazed that I continue to watch this team every year. Even if we score some runs in the 9th, this is disgraceful. It seems like this is what happens to us in 80% of the games dating back to the middle of last season.
  5. I'm confused as to what this is. On May 7th at Miller Park, you can redeem your voucher for the Bernie-Fang Rattlers bobblehead given out last week?
  6. The Brewers don't give up quickly because they can't really afford to. They need to make sure a guy is taxed before they pull the plug on him.
  7. Is anyone watching this? It's playing Reds@Marlins right now and these two announcers have to be two of the most boring people I've ever encountered in my life. One guy barely talks, and the other guy sounds like he's reading off Google searches every 20 seconds. I hear a lot of people complain about Brian and Bill, but this is just abysmal. I think it's the Marlins' crew, but jeez...give me our guys over these two any day.
  8. Who does he look like? A terrible catcher.
  9. I'm not calling for the closer's head yet, but I'm getting there. He did not look good at all on Tuesday, and last night was a disgrace.
  10. Braun is the worst defensive LFer in the league. And he's an absolute moron on the basepaths. He's lucky he can hit.
  11. How many CFers make the catch Gomez did for that second out? There are a lot who don't get there. Nice to have that speed there. This could be much worse than 1-0 right now.
  12. I got one tonight. It's a nice bobble. The Jennings and Bango bobbleheads this year were much higher quality than the old Bucks bobbles.
  13. Willing to drop this to $40
  14. Fair warning guys - "General parking" on opening day could end up being parking on the curb on the road leading into the parking lot. It's packed, and they fit you wherever they fit you. You can't grill on the roadside, so it can be pretty bad. If you are grilling by yourself and the people who come in that same car with you, get there EARLY. If you can meet someone there to tailgate, I wouldn't even bother parking at Miller Park. I'd park at the hospital or McDonalds or any of the restaurants on National and just walk to the parking lot.
  15. The game is pretty good, but Casey McGehee has a higher speed rating than Ryan Braun.
  16. Blindcheck, as of late, Suppan's effective games have become more and more rare. I don't think he's the same guy he was during parts of 2008, and he was never that good to begin with.
  17. I have a $50 Brewers gift certificate I'd like to sell. I'm buying tickets through a third party and obviously they won't take a certificate, so I want to sell it and use the $ toward that. You can only use this on tickets/parking. It's valid through 9/30. I'd like to get $45 for it. So this isn't a huge deal, but it's a free $5 if you're going to buy tickets through the team. Let me know, thanks.

  19. That was me. I posted it back in 08 after the season. I knew YouTube would remove it, so I hosted it here as well: http://www.mediafire.com/?ojmjm2ijiod I had to strip the video off MLB.com, so the video quality is awful, but then I matched it with the call. I also included the Sabathia final out. Hope you enjoy.
  20. I like it just the way it is. There should be five in each division though. I love the Wild Card. The fact that the season is so long, doesn't really help your argument, in my eyes. The length and grueling nature of the season is a reason to add the WC to me. To go through that long of a season, to only let two teams in the playoffs, I don't like that. It keeps more teams in the hunt. The NBA is a joke and lets too many in, I think baseball is in a pretty good spot. The NFL is basically the same, when you consider four of the teams get byes. Making the WC in baseball is not simply being a good 2nd place team, it means you're pretty darn good and have the misfortune of playing behind someone great. The only thing I'd like to see changed is make the divisional series a best of seven, but that's me.
  21. Per Haudricourt I was kinda surprised to see this. I wonder if it's more after the fact; he has no bad blood because he got a good deal with the A's. Either way, it's a pretty classy thing to do. Wish Benny the best. (fixed code --1992)
  22. Yeah, OK, they won 90 games with Prince Fielder as a major piece of the roster. Given that they've done that like what, five times in 40 years, I think it's safe to say he helped. I didn't throw the 95 number out there, someone else did. Part of me wants to see Prince Fielder go so some people get a reality check on what his value actually is. It's like people think we can just dump him and find a replacement off the scrap heap.
  23. One of the dumbest things I've ever seen. They retaliate in spring training with a noodle arm marshmallow toss. OK, point proven? I bet Prince launches one the first time they play the Giants.
