  1. Anyone get one? Have extras to sell/trade? Probably the last Fielder bobble you will get while he's on the Brewers. Anyway, I'm very interested in one.
  2. ....And Braun just perpetuated the myth that hes a good defender throughout the nation for the next year.
  3. I live close by so I would always go anyway, but if it were tougher for me to get to games, the new screen would definitely help me make sure I get to at least one.
  4. I think you guys are really exaggerating here. First, the post is on the blog, it's not an article in the paper. These blogs all over the country use aimspeak and are lighter than the hard news stories. He just posted it for discussion and speculation. He never writes that anything is imminent. And besides, the BR story is in response to a rumor in the SF Chronicle. That's where it started, not on BR. I'm not the biggest Witrado fan but this is much ado about nothing. You're acting like he reported this was about to go down. He's merely opening it up for discussion.
  5. I need a 2008 Ryan Braun bobblehead - the one where he's on the cheese wheel. I actually only need the bat because the bat on my retro snapped off and split, so I'm looking to get the regular one and just use the bat. So if you have an extra bat that would be awesome, but... I have an extra Doug Melvin and an extra Hart from 2008 to offer. Can also pay cash. Thanks.
  6. Really wanted to see Cain up here if Yo had to hit the DL. This stinks.
  7. Not in stores. Besides the two Fielders, the only other one I know of that exists is the Richie Sexson (only in one uniform). Every now and then a slick custom will show up on eBay, but no other licensed ones.
  8. I always check Toys R Us and Wal-Mart when they are released. This one took forever to show up. I checked multiple Wal-Marts and the one on Capitol was the only one that had them today. They're always dirt cheap at Wal-Mart too.
  9. We won that game, which shows that Jenkins knew how to win.
  10. Just a heads up that I finally found these in a store in Milwaukee. The Wal-Mart on Capitol Drive has them in full stock. $10.53 with tax. Had been checking stores for a couple months so I was glad to see them. You save about $8 off eBay.
  11. Like you said, it's not the right color. Don't want to use a tan bat when his hands have a black handle. And bats off bobbles from the other years don't fit.
  12. The 3-1 was a strike. It sank low well after it crossed the plate, IMO. Great pitch.
  13. At least I think it's the 08 one. The cheese wheel bobble. I was boxing up all my bobbles and couldn't get the bat off. Then it cracked. Had to use a tweezers to dislodge it, but the bat can't be saved. Unfortunately it was a retro, too. Does anyone happen to have an extra? I'll probably end up buying another regular one, but thought I'd check here first. Would be great if someone could hook me up. I'd trade a Corey Hart bobble or a Doug Melvin for an extra Braun, just so I have a bat.
  14. According to Bill, the winning run is at third, and the go-ahead run is at second.
  15. He needs to be traded, but I agree. To get anything worthwhile back, he needs to be at least decent a little longer. Closer to the deadline, some moron GM desperate for a bat will bite on him. On your other point - let's be real. We are rebuilding. We are 10 games below .500 with arguably the worst pitching staff in the majors. We have Gallardo and trash in our rotation. Without drastic pitching and defensive improvements, we are not sniffing the postseason any time soon.
  16. Galarraga shouldn't want this overturned. As it stands right now, he threw the best perfect game ever. 28 up, 28 down.
  17. Hart needs to be traded before he inevitably stinks again.
  18. I replied to this but can't read the message I got back. Can you e-mail me at dooley644@gmail.com?
  19. He obviously wasn't unsure though. And I don't believe in using that to sway your opinion. If you think he's safe, call it that way. And I don't believe for a second they sit there thinking "This is a tie, I'm giving him the perfect game." It happens too fast.
  20. Baseball can do whatever it wants. If they claim they can't overturn it, that's a cop-out. They'd be saying that because they don't want overturning calls post-game to become a slippery slope. This needs to be fixed. Frankly, it should have been fixed already. This has to be repaired tomorrow.
  21. Don't know if any of you watch hockey, but the Flyers just had a goal pretty clearly go over the line, but it was never called. The difference is, replay got it for them a few minutes later.
  22. Although that call was terrible, I disagree with the notion I'm reading everywhere that you "give the call to the pitcher." If you think the guy is actually safe, call him safe. Don't hand someone a perfect game. But man, that just wasn't that close.
  23. That play was more like bang .........bang.
