  1. Miz has been shaken up early in all of his starts. I don't know why he is everyone's surefire answer there especially if we're considering after there's a guy on base. If he lets an inherited runner score, we lose, he can't start Game 5 and possibly 6 that is a decision that sends Murphy to the guillotine. We can't pretend like that was a reasonable decision to make with a 3-0 lead. You consider that at 3-2 with him slated to start Game 7. There's no way any responsible manager throws Miz out there tonight.
  2. We never recorded an out. We let a guy on a base then proceeded to get shelled repeatedly.
  3. Ehhhhh, I just can't criticize not throwing Miz. I think everyone will admit when the tempers cool down that is a potentially disastrous decision.
  4. Hate everything about this. If you were going to lose this game, lose 6-1. This is how nightmares unfold.
  5. I don't buy that though. It is just as big of a blow to them. They have to stretch a weaker unit just as far as we do.
  6. Yeah this is where I'm at. This would be as lame as winning a WS can be at this point. I still would like to finish it tonight but most of the state has gone to bed. It is too easy to envision the downward spiral if we get walked off tonight. Just win and make up for it with a good parade.
  7. No way Miz enters the game. That's a bluff. And while extra innings aren't good for anyone, I'd still say it drastically favors us if they are stretched to cover 15 innings tonight to win.
  8. I think he's safe with the extra angles. First one looked way out. Shouldn't be overturned, not conclusive.
  9. Maybe I shouldn't but I feel completely confident we are going to win this game. I'm sure having 4 chances at it plays a part in that but I don't even feel nervous.
  10. I had the same thought, though he hasn't been truly spectacular at home in 3 starts. But that's why I asked.
  11. This is it...think we make our move right here and hoist the trophy before 10:15.
  12. 7th is ours. Love Hamilton leading off for Chourio, that is the bonus of Pratt getting on.
  13. Yikes. I thought Bauers definitely could have made an out at 2nd on the play before. And Hamilton looks well short of that tag.
  14. I don't know what they kept seeing in May. He wasn't awful very lately. There was just never a strong argument that he was the best choice nearly any time he was used.
  15. Lack of a big winning streak during the season only says to me that they were the best from beginning to end. Not buoyed by some anomaly that inflated their record. They were the best team, and as far as not being built for October due to a lack of stars, we can put that to bed now.
  16. I think Contreras has it locked. He's been a focal point on the broadcast an awful lot. The ABS challenges are constant, throwing guys out, being the catcher for a dominant pitching staff. I can't see it being anybody else. And gloriously, I keep trying to envision ways this team is worse next season (assuming that gets figured out) and it's tough to do.
  17. I mean, they didn't really though. They kept making the playoffs for a bit and 2018 they were right there and just couldn't beat us.
