  1. You knew Kendall wouldn't do anything for the offense going into the season. I guess I thought he'd hit at least .245, but I expected next to nothing out of his bat. He also plays way too much. It's great that he's a "gamer," but I don't really care. They would be getting much better production out of BOTH catchers if Rivera started 1/3 of the games. Kendall might be the worst hitter in the lineup but it's being magnified by others who are far more talented and need to give a lot more than they have; Hardy, Hart and Hall are atrocious, if he keeps playing this often Counsell will be hitting .230 in a month, losing Weeks was a major blow. Even Fielder isn't really that terrifying, but at least he's producing runs.
  2. Seems highly unlikely given the Rangers wanted him, Maddux is in Texas, he was peeved with the Brewers not offering him a long-term deal, but if he passes a physical in July/August is there a chance the Brewers give him a call? I think any team would have to be crazy to offer him a multi-year deal right now. It seems like his best bet would be to agree to a deal that runs through the end of the season, show he can pitch, then do FA again. What we do know is that IF he's healthy, he could be the piece the Brewers' rotation desperately needs. I think we all knew the staff was playing over its head. I think Gallardo is great, Bush is a solid, dependable No. 3 type guy, and Looper is fine on the back end. But Suppan is a complete coin flip, and Parra isn't there just yet. Seems like Sheets would be a nice addition for the Brewers. They wouldn't have to trade anyone to get him, and they would only need him to stay healthy for a few months. A pipe dream, yeah, probably, but I haven't really heard anything about him since he had surgery.
  3. Just have two questions: For the Beloit Molitor bobblehead, I thought I read something on here about it but couldn't find it, is he going to be wearing a Twins uniform? That would be a big disappointment. Also, I noticed Huntsville has an Aug. 10 bobble of a "star player" but they are not saying who. Anyone have some insider info on that? Any clue who it might be?
  4. I'll do that as long as the ball is OML.
  5. I'd like to get a Hoffman and/or Cameron auto - on basically anything like a bat, ball, 8x10, 16x20, etc. I'm just into cards or things like that. I'd prefer a photo or ball. But I'm only interested in photos in a Brewers uniform. To trade I have some bobbles - Corey Hart white uniform Fielder Huntsville Fielder Beloit 07 06 Cecil Cooper pinstripe (no box) Al McGuire figurine Marquette SGA Also, I will have extra Hoffman bobbles. Would trade or pay reasonable $$ or combine the two. Let me know.
  6. I don't want the Brewers trading farm system talent for a solid guy like Roberts because Rickie Weeks is out for 1 year. It sounds like a good idea to some because we're in mourning. It's a bad idea. The best thing right now is give Gamel chances to play and let Counsell/Hall platoon. There's still more than enough firepower in the offense to win games. I don't want the Brewers to make a big trade because of this. It's too much to give up.
  7. Any chance Ray Durham is brought in again?
  8. If you can spend $85,000 on a card, I think you'll be able to buy yourself out of your depression.
  9. I agree with BHF on several aspects here. I think randomized lineups will only create a stampede, and I am totally against making it just for kids. A lot of these "kids" are the ones who collect autos and sell them off to dealers. Some of them are basically employees for dealers. If it sounds far-fetched, trust me, it's reality. And I'm 22. I like autographs. I spend a lot of money on the Brewers. I think I should get a chance for some perks, too. I'm not gonna cut off a kid in line or shove a kid out of the way, but if I'm willing to patiently wait in line for Ryan Braun, I should get a chance to see him. I've gotten him six times and each time it's a fun experience.
  10. Isn't everyone? Here's what I have available: 06 Cooper pinstripe 07 Fielder Huntsville 07 Fielder Beloit 08 Hart white uni I will have several extra Hoffmans at the end of the month. Also, I don't care if the sound actually works, I'm just interested in the bobble itself.
  11. To be honest, I wouldn't really care if the thing worked or not. It's just having the rare item that's important to me. I don't really care if the sound works.
  12. That's right. There was no pinstripe. I knew that ... well that's a relief.
  13. I need all three versions of Braun. I'll probably end up paying for the talking one, but I need the other two as well. For trade I have last year's white uniform Corey Hart, a couple Huntsville Fielders, an 07 Snappers Fielder and an 05 pinstripe Cecil Cooper. I've also got a SS Matt LaPorta signed OML I could move. Let me know if there's any trades out there, or if you're selling.
  14. brewers = lucky to win 65 games this year. never seen a team so pathetic and so ready to quit because they lost ONE guy. we look putrid and we'll be fighting it out for 5th place. hope braun is happy he's stuck with 6 years of losing. we will always be the milwaukee brewers, we will always be known for losing ... but we do fart in the wind once every 25 years. awesome.
  15. http://www.jsonline.com/blogs/sports/39666662.html I'd like to see some pictures. Made me very happy to see this.
  16. I'll never complain about Braun. Hoffman is okay. Kendall is awesome. Brat was a given. Suppan I could do without, but I love Melvin. If I'm not mistaken, there is no alternate of the Braun bobble. It's all the same kind. Doesn't look like Melvin has an alternate either, and neither does bratwurst. I'm all for that. I'd wish they'd do away with the alternates altogether.
  17. What do you think is a fair price for each of these items? To be clear, I am NOT selling these here. Item 1: Angel Salome signed pro model bat. It's a nice looking bat. Dipped in black. His name is engraved on it and it's signed in silver. Item 2: Alcides Escobar sweet spot signed OMLB. What's your estimated value on these? Thanks.
  18. Have a few duplicates I'd like to unload. I don't know what these are going for so I'm putting my estimates on them. Don't freak out if they're too high. Just make what you deem to be a fair offer, like I said, I'm pulling these out of the air. 2008 Corey Hart - white home uniform $12 2007 Fielder Snappers $30 2007 Fielder Huntsville (2) $30 2006 Cecil Cooper - white pinstripe $10 All are NIB except Cooper, he has no box, but is in pristine shape. I also have a Matt LaPorta signed OMLB. It's on the sweet spot in blue ink. I got it at spring training. I'm not desperate to get rid of it ... I'd include the (plastic) gold base display case with it. $30? If you're interested in trading or any kind of multi-item deal, here are some things I'm interested in off the top of my head: Geoff Jenkins Ports bobble Ben Sheets Ports bobble Bill Hall track suit Rickie Weeks Forever Big Head bobble (blue uniform) Any of the mini forever bobbles on eBay right now - Kendall, Gallardo, etc. Autos: Hoffman Mike Cameron Angel Salome Alcides Escobar Not trying to be a jerk, but with autos, I'm generally only into things like photos, bats, jerseys, gloves, helmets, etc. I don't like cards, caps and most things like that. I like balls, but only OMLB, I don't like the Rawlings ones. Just trying to make it clear for anyone who's interested. Thanks.
  19. I'm looking for the Forever Collectibles Rickie Weeks Big Head. The one from last year in the blue uniform. It was sold at MP but it's gone now. I think it sold for $25 or $30 there during the season. It's the only one I need from the set. I have a Corey Hart SGA I'd trade for it. Or if anyone can just sell me one, I'd do that too. Really annoying missing one from the whole set. Thanks.
  20. Awesome player. Awful guy. I'd have no issues with him in the HOF.
  21. The hate for a 1B who will probably hit .280 with 40 homers and have an OBP in the .370 range is ridiculous. His defense might suck, but his bat more than makes up for it. To say his defense does anything close to negating his offense is absurd.
  22. That bobble was sold in Chicago when Wrigley hosted the ASG a few years ago. They had one that was similar to it for every team, I believe. That one ususally sells $30-40 as well.
