  1. Coan looks good. He is throwing a nice ball. I wish they'd used Mertz the whole time. If you are going to burn a game of his redshirt, you might as well give him the whole thing. He looked ok out there with a nice arm. But a lot of his balls were back into the defender (instead of leading the WR away). Against a better defense, he'd have a lot of those swiped away. Still, a decent first game. The O-line played ok, but not dominant. Hopefully, they still come together a bit more this year. Michigan will be interesting. I'd love to blow them out.
  2. This one always disappointed me. I wanted to get my son (Alexander) a jersey, but the guy was so bad so quick, I never bothered. I'd offer to buy yours, but its probably from the horrible Christmas-color era.
  3. Amos leads in interceptions.
  4. I don't think there should be any shade of blue there. He was absolutely huge tonight. Certainly the star of ST and close to the best overall of any individual player. Amos and the Smiths are there too, but...

  6. Who wanted a 1-1 guaranteed record in the first two games? Now to go take care of the Vikings.
  7. He caused Rodger's fumble, but not much else.
  8. Got any lottery numbers for me? LOL Seriously... numbers? Amos never got ints for the Bears...
  9. Without another challenge, at least we are close to the 2 minute point. But that was clearly out...even live from my couch.
  10. Taylor whiffed on the block big time. I'm guessing he is starting just because of the Bear's DL, but I'm thinking he won't last. He doesn't seem to be the right type of OL for the scheme
  11. Lewis has more catches and targets today than all of last year.
  12. 100 seasons in 100 seconds: would've been nice to have Bart Starr with a bit of facetime, but at least the ice bowl sneak made it.
  13. BJ Sanders. Ok, I said it. Now let's please not speak of him again and just enjoy Scott, but hope we don't need to use him much.
  14. I'd have loved to see Lefleur and Nagy wearing fedoras at the start of the game.
  15. Savage has looked good (not just that last play either). Very active. Very quick.
  16. Now I get it... we were going the wrong direction!
  17. I'm curious what comes of the offense tonight. So little practice this preseason and you go live on the road on a Thursday night.
  18. In addition, I deleted the last couple posts. Admins are here to keep things from devolving into the chaos of other boards. Please listen.
  19. Yes, they have a rookie that has looked (albeit in preseason) pretty good. Summers runs fast, but he doesn't always seem to know where he is supposed to be. Seems like he needs to be more patient; let the play develop and then attack. So I'd rather not see him much in the first game. Goodson will probably be in base for obvious runs with Greene replacing him in passing downs. Offense is going to be interesting. They've had precious little time to get on the same page while "live". I've been critical the last few years of MM's tenure since they had so little preseason work that it took them 3-4 games into the season to start clicking. And that was with a familiar offense.
  20. Yeah, I'm a little nervous about our ILB plan against the Bears. I'm guessing heavy doses of Greene (which isn't bad) but could get dicey if the Bears go heavy run.
  21. Wow, going from rumors that the Packers would take him with their first 1st round draft pick to falling into the third round to being cut. Jachai Polite isn't having a great offseason.
  22. I'm surprised Bolton was cut, but perhaps they couldn't manage both him and Burks being injured at once? Hopefully, they can put him on the PS. Personally, I would've cut Crawford, put Bolton on IR and resigned Crawford (or preferably someone else).
  23. I would take Perry at a vet minimum in heartbeat. When healthy, he was very good. By paying him a vet minimum, you are compensating him appropriately for the amount of time he'd be healthy... Can't cut Dex Williams. He'd be claimed in a heartbeat. Too great of a burst to pass. I'd be shocked if Lazard or Shepherd were claimed. There are many of end of the roster WRs like them. Kizer actually looked comfortable that last game. His accuracy still comes and goes, but he looked decisive, ran the offense, ran his progressions.. all things that I watch in preseason (when you can't rely on a 3rd string OL to block or a 4th string WR to catch). I think Boyle still has more arm talent (strength, accuracy... touch can be taught with reps), but I'd guess they keep both. I don't think Wilkins really showed enough for the PS. I'd be shocked if we don't have waiver/FA ILB at the end of the weekend. Crawford didn't really show anything. Probably a 4th safety too. I'm hoping some horse-trading can happen too. Wolf was great as a GM of cherry-picking a need off someone's roster for a low draft pick or player swap.
  24. Brandon Marshall (LB not WR), was released. Might be a good fit at ILB if he is healthy.
  25. I was a bit surprised that we couldn't find a taker for Daniels (especially since he had many suitors and unfortunately stayed in the division). But no shocker on Jones. Players that show they struggle with the mental aspect of your position, then show themselves as unwilling to play don't get much back in a trade.
