  1. Well, we beat the Philly game to death so time to start looking forward to... what are we to expect this week?? Will Love play? If not, what will the gameplan around Malik Willis? Will we see a Malik to Malik connection (Willis to Heath)? How will the defense handle Anthony Richardson? Or Jonathan Taylor? Will Jaire bounce back from an up and (mostly) down game? How will Narveson do in his home debut? Will Brazil have field envy with Lambeau's pristine conditions?
  2. Yes, you are correct. Young had the ability to scramble, but was probably more Rodger-esque than a true running QB. The 49er offense was very WCO - short, high efficiency passes with YACs. It didn't matter what QB they had, that was what Walsh was.
  3. Both Rodgers and Favre have played games at times when no one expected them to recover in time to play. And yes, they were limited on mobility, but still better than the alternatives.
  4. That was the year my buddy and I went to the home playoff game against the 49ers because all the season ticket holders declined to buy the playoff tickets (looking like we wouldn't make the playoffs that year). It was -4 at kickoff and we lost because we had zero OLBs that were healthy so Kaepernick ran all over us. But it still was a positive experience to see a playoff game live. Oddly, I think we pretty well align with observations. 😂 Except... I thought Jacobs actually looked pretty good. First half was terrible obviously, but looks like somethings clicked with both he and the OL the second half. He ended up with more yards/rush than Barkley. Jaire was the main exception to the DB looking good. He had his moments (the int was an excellent play), but he had a lot of blunders. He was chasing people quite often out there. Everyone is playing their first full game, but the DL did look gassed out there. As you highlighted, the Eagles OL is huge. But we obviously weren't quite in game shape either.
  5. The one positive I see from our Defense was that they did improve as the game went on. Still much improvement desired, but they did start to solidify as the game wore one. Cooper over McDuffie at LB will be an improvement on 70% of our snaps. I'm sure the DB has much to improve for communication. Our DL looked very conservative rushing the QB to keep containment over pressure.
  6. I'm speaking more to the "let's tank" and "draft a new QB" or "Fire MLF" and "FIre the DC" stuff. Many people have said Packer fans have been spoiled and I've defended against that. But that garbage after one game is silly. Yes, I slept very well thank you. If people are sick of our team for 15 years, then they are welcome to join the Bear's bandwagon. If you really thought that a team would look polished playing football after not playing preseason, having a new DC, new starters, flying 10 hours to play in Brazil, I think you need to adjust expectations. Ever since they stopped playing preseason, they look terrible for 3-4 games. You just can't get it down without playing full speed.
  7. Wow, this thread really went to pity party mode. Its one loss in a preseason game that counts. relax...
  8. Well, at least I didn't pay for a month of Peacock...
  9. At least Willis doesn't need to know the offense here... Just throw it deep
  10. Yeah, I was thinking the same. Very active. Very fast.
  11. NIce they made that halftime adjustment...
  12. Dear Packers, Updated Playsheet: 1) Throw to Reed 2) Goto 1
  13. Terrible throw by Hurts. Great pick, but bad decision by Alexander. he got kind of lucky he didn't get clobbered
  14. What is brown and sounds like a bell? DUNGGGGGG!
  15. I disagree... but at least it was another stop.
  16. Nick Sirianni could be Aaron Rodger's brother.
  17. I think they changed the play and someone missed it. Too bad Kraft didn't just stop and get set to avoid the penalty
  18. Payback for their tackles jumping early all the time.
  19. For those that care... I finally have the game on TV. I have NFL+ but they don't allow streaming on a smart TV or computer. So I installed an android simulator (BlueStacks), installed NFL app on that, and cast my computer to the TV. Much easier to watch than my phone... #firstWorldProblems
