  1. I haven't been following as close as usual. Why are we getting back to back starts from Figaro and Gorzellany? I could look it up but i've been doing yard work all day followed by drinking and grilling and am hoping someone will just tell me.
  2. How about Einstein's definition of insanity? Doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. Someone is doing that in this case and I don't know if it's MLB or Braun.
  3. Regarding the overturned suspension. The only facts that I KNOW are true 1. Braun triggered a positive result and appealed. 2. His appeal followed the process that MLB and the Player's Union agreed to. 3. The suspension was not upheld The thing I can't get over with this whole deal... Let's SUPPOSE Braun is guilty and knowingly purchased drugs that are both illegal and would get him suspended by his current employer. So he picks up the phone or shows up in person and says, "Hi. This is Ryan Braun. I'd like to order some steroids, please." He doesn't work through a lawyer or some other outlet to create some chain of custody that makes it impossible to trace back to him? And so do gobs of other players? There is no way that 20 or more MLB players are that stupid. Right?
  4. Brewers get on a winning streak with a little gift.....well....a big gift from the umps. I feel giddy! http://i.imgur.com/0flCrFU.gif

  10. Is it just me or does anyone else find it totally depressing that we're talking about how a former MLB closer in AAA who started to suck is looking like a better option than our current former MLB closer who started to suck? Both of whom sucked in the same bullpen last year. I'm not sure what I'd like to see more. Axy giving up hits to everyone to blow a game or Rody walking several and giving up 1 hit to blow a game. The whole Krod thing makes me think of how you can convince yourself that your crazy ex wasn't THAT bad when you're lonely and desperate.
  11. I'm not sure if he's trying to save egos or is just overthinking it, but he can't make adjustments when players are struggling. You can just look at his management of Axford and Weeks this year. The more they struggle, the more he plays them. I'm not for constantly changing things based on a few games but looking back at some of the players he's managed, he's done this time and time again. He'll continue to do it. And he'll continue to add a Y to the guy's last name and make an excuse for them. Edit...and bunty bunt bunt McBuntsalot
  12. That must have been a good catch. Joe Block actually showed some excitement on that one.
  13. I don't like that RRR just calls him Yuni. I think his play has earned him one of his cute nicknames. Bety? I've never been a fan of the guy and done my share of bashing (not on here--with friends and family). My sister was all pumped when they signed him and my head about exploded. After almost nightly texts from my sister pointing out key hits he's gotten, I've officially had to soften my stance. Given this run of hitting with the injuries and his key hit in game 5 of the DS, he really has come up big for the Brewers when they needed him. I'm sorry, Bety. I was mean to you. I won't be a bully anymore.
  14. Weird. Mine aren't loading now either. They worked last night when I put them up. Thanks. http://gifs.gifbin.com/062009/1245587468_spinning-baseball-bat.gif

  16. Quentin is a moron. Can't really add much more than that. Reading the ESPN recap, it was kind of funny the number of ex-Brewers involved in this. Obviously there's ZG: "Quentin was led off the field by teammate Mark Kotsay" "After the teams started going back to the dugouts and bullpens, Jerry Hairston Jr. came running across the field yelling and pointing" "Los Angeles reliever Chris Capuano was given all the time he needed to warm up"
  17. Meh with logic. Ronnicky is crappity. I have been drinking.
  18. Maybe Axford could bat when his turn comes up and we can get 3 innings out of him...you know...in case it goes into extras...
  19. All right. I'm going to give this a try. It seems there are about 3 active threads that haven't turned into some form of discussion about roster construction or in game management. Anyone still happy that baseball is under way? Season didn't start how anyone wanted but crazy things happen. Until they're buried, I'm going to choose to believe that this team can manage to hover around 500 until the middle of the order is back in place. I'm going to choose to believe that Estrada's start today will spark a spontaneous streak of great pitching. Likely? No. Possible? Yes.
