This. People act like the addition of Reyes would make a CC like impact when that's highly doubtful even though he's having a career year, at least offensively(and it's not even really close - in a contract season)- defensively, at least by looking at the stats, he's been roughly the same as Betancourt. A lineup of: ReyesHartBraunFielderWeeksLucroyMcGeheeMorgan Along with Grienke/Marcum/Gallardo sure looks like a World Series team to me. Now I don't think there's any chance we get him, and it's probably not wise to give up to prospects necessary to do so, but I think that's a move that could put us over the top. -
In a contract of $140+ million, $1.34 million is really nothing. That's less than 1% of the contract. If the Brewers were willing to spend $139 million, they better be willing to spend a million more.

It's definitely the white that's ruining it. They should have gone all out with blue pants. I think even grey pants would look better. Gold and white just doesn't work well.

Irregardless is not a word. But it's commonly used. If you think about what regardless means, you can figure out why irregardless isn't a word. And I was told it this way so don't take it the wrong way. I used the word before too. Well according to most dictionaries it is, but the word really makes no sense if you think about it.

That's the strongest, and probably only, argument for Nieves still being here. However, I don't buy it.

As much as I like having Prince Fielder as a Brewer there's no way we lock up that much money for that long.

Actually it's 7 in 7.No, I think it's 6 in 6. He has 3 in 2 games in this series and had 3 in 4 games vs Florida. He didn't hit one in the final game vs Cincinnati.Agh, you're right. I looked it up earlier before your post and I didn't notice that tonights game was part of the last ten shown on his player page, so I counted his earlier one twice.

Jemile Weeks made his major league debut today. The odd thing about that, he hit lead off in his first game. He went 0-4. The even odder thing, the lead off hitter of their opponent was JJ Hardy. He lead off the game with a homer.

No it takes 1 win to stop a losing streak, and 2 wins or more to start a winning streak.But that first win, that also stopped the losing streak, would also be the start to that winning streak. Kind of depends on how you look at it. Whatever, not important, just thinking aloud - or I guess in text.
