  1. My first thought was: "Holy crap, Filepe Lopez hitting 5th? Really? Really?" And then I realized the rest of our line up was really that bad.
  2. As I said earlier, no option means no buyout. If we're just moving the buy out money to now there's no harm done. I also find it extremely unlikely that you're allowed to officially have a condition that he can't accept arbitration.
  3. Well waiving the option also waives the buyout, correct? If we give him an extra $3.5 million this year, same difference.
  4. Looks like Marcum is included in that group after all. For now at least.
  5. In case you were wondering "Tony Cloninger set a major league record for RBIs by a pitcher with 2 grand slams and an RBI single for the Atlanta Braves in a 17-3 win over the San Francisco Giants on July 3, 1966."
  6. They're just making it up as they go along. There's nothing to say this is the format from here on out. I bet they'll do something different next year.
  7. So is it just NL vs AL instead of an individual champion?
  8. I think it just sucks in general. I'm a college student and there's not one band I'm excited to see. I'll probably only go once, if at all, this year.
  9. Trading him this offseason would be stupid. If he doesn't dramatically turn this season around we'd be selling low. If he does turn it around there's no reason to move him. If he gets hot next season and we're out of it by the deadline that's when you consider trading him. However, as others have said, I'd try for an extension. Maybe his poor start could benefit us by having to pay a little less. Also, while I think his troubles pitching in Yankee Stadium have been blown out of proportion, I don't believe he'd want to go to a NY, LA, or Chicago. Milwaukee seems to be the right type of town for his personality, so that should work in our favor.
  10. I have no idea what his injury situation is or whatever, but his numbers are terrible this year. If he can return to form it's a no brainer, but if that's the case why would Boston let him go.
  11. Hart does. He's in 12th while Gomez is in 14th. Keep voting for Rickie so he doesn't lose his lead. Fielder is ahead of Votto, but still 400k behind Pujols, so that one doesn't really matter. Though if you're voting anyway to help Rickie, you might as well vote for Prince too. Both he and Votto will start anyway with one at DH.
  12. Troy Tulowitzki double hit single to left. http://sports.yahoo.com/m...ice-for-?urn=mlb-wp10795
  13. That's what I'm thinking. Now to get a shooting guard who can average 18 or more points a game. Stephen Jackson has done that 4 of the past 5 years, with 3 being 20+.
  14. http://c0013834.cdn1.cloudfiles.rackspacecloud.com/x2_6d3074a
  15. You shouldn't have any frustration over Dirk. There was zero chance the Bucks were ever going to take him.
  16. That shows the power of Brewer fans though. If we can get a crappy player like Betancourt in the top 5 (and it pains me to use "we" there. I certainly never voted for Betancourt, and I doubt others here did), then we definitely can get Weeks to pass Phillips. Brewers fans always stuff the ballots. In 2009 Bill Hall and Jason Kendall were in the top 5.
  17. It's essentially vote as often as you want, whenever you want. You don't need to use a valid email address. You can put in any random thing as long as it's in the x@x.com format.
  18. I haven't given up on McGehee yet, but take him out of the 5 spot please. Walks are good, but I'd like to see Prince get a chance to hit again sometime.
  19. Yeah, I"m just going to go ahead and root for Nieves to suck in AAA too so we don't have to worry about that.
  20. He's a crappy starter, but I really like having Gomez on the bench.
  21. I wouldn't have taken Prince out in case we were facing extra innings. Definitely would have used one for McGehee had he got on though.
