    that definitely was the best defensive play of the year!

    As of today, the Brewers are 5th in scoring (essentially 4th since florida has scored two more runs in two more games played) 5th in team OPS and 5th in OBP in the national league according to espn stats. As much as hart and hardy have underperformed, the offense seems to be enough to win the division. I think the team needs to use all its resources for a quality starting pitcher.

    I dont understand Parra was not pulled before Konerko. Smith appeared to be ready. Those 2 extra runs makes the lead so much bigger!

    I think the last few posters hit it on the head. I wonder if TH has gotten more bitter after his own mistake with the badger blogger. He probably lumps all forums/bloggers together. He believes we are all misinformed.

    Hart has me really concerned. I think of our young guys Hart is the one I dont want to sign to a long term deal. I believe Hardy will be fine. We all know he will have his month where he goes insane. His defense is still good. Hart, according to metrics, is a below average to average fielder and offensively is just bad right now. Personally I am still mad he swung at the first pitch and tapped out in the playoff game last year when the bases were loaded. I know that does not matter much going foward, but it seems to exaggerate the point that he has no plate discipline (april excluded). What has happened to him? His 2007 numbers were very good. 2008 went downhill in september and he has not recovered!

    Haren would be great he is signed through 2012 with a club option for 2013. His contract is 4/45 million the option is 15.5 million for 2013. The Dbacks would want a lot back in prospects though.

    I guess I dont understand why stetter was not used for the pinch hitter smith unless the rockies were ready to pinch hit with a righty.

    Who would have thought 2 years ago that the brewers would have "one of the best defenses." I agree the defense and the bullpen are the story.

    The funny thing is that you only hear the cardinals complain about it. I have not heard any other announcer/team really complain about it.
