  1. I worked at Pick N Save as well. I was a shelve stocker. One time this little girl thought it was funny to sit on my cart while it was half full of stuff to be put on the shelf. I was down to the other end of the aisl putting spaghetti jars away when i heard a crash. The girl and knocked the boxes of some kind of noodles down on top of her. ..she was uninjured. lucky it wasn't the spaghetti sauce. And yet, i still had a angry grandmother at me even though she watched the whole thing while on her cell phone. AYE!
  2. A little off topic: I recently got a job at Pizza Hut, and I can pick from what i want to do there (cook, server, driver etc) Anyone know the set wages or estimated as that might be a big factor in what i decide to do. I know tips come with being a server and a driver, however my roomate was a cook at a restaurant while I attended Winona and he got a cut of the tips. Do cooks generally get part of the tips?
  3. I love the odds for 2/3 ...but a sweep would be good to get them pretty much out of the race.
  4. as long as weeks isn't out for the year, this isn't a horrible thing
  5. That song by Zombie Nation pumps me up......but I can stop hearing it any time now....
  6. The Cambridge guy is Matt Kenseth....from the sounds of it , thank god he found racing. He seems like a real decent dude though and his wife Katie, at least in 2002 was smokin hot. As far as Dodgeville, Ann Ladd is at least normal compared to those creepers that dug up that grave. I am going to bring some positive from Dodgeville. Bobby Wunnicke , excellent wrestler and 4 time state champ i believe even though die hard wrestling fans know their should be an * ... still a good wrestler. I am from Pittsville...a Panther.. We are the exact center of Wisconsin and had the first 4 time champ in Matt Hanutke. Other then that, about 20 minutes from here in Auburndale is where Mark Tauscher played high school ball and Jordan Zimmerman was drafted by the Nationals. from a little hick bar type town in Rozellville is where Super Bowl Champ Rich.Streubel?..something...lol...played for the Super Bowl champion Giants.
  7. Dear Brewers, I'm a sinkerballer.....chase my pitches... Derek Lowe PS : I threw a no hitter once upon a time so I MUST be really good.
  8. Watching this Cubs/Marlins game made me realize a few things: 1) This Cub team is really really really good. Yeah, this shouldn't be new but I have now realized it is going to take even more then the typical Cub choke session for this team to not win the Central. However, I don' think this is an unbeatable force come playoff time particularly because of the starting pitching. 2) Len and Bob are bad. Just be thankful for what we as Brewer fans have to listen to no matter if it is Bob and Jim on the radio or Bill and Brian on tv. I hate the whinyness of Len's voice. 3) Poor Marlins. I was borderline on starting another thread on this. Is there a team with a worse fanbase in professional sports than Florida? I understand they recycle through players like crazy but the system is winning and has won more world series than the Brewers/Cubs in the last 10 years than the latter two have in 100. The small crowds are embarrassing and I feel for the players. It is to the point where I don't know to cheer for them (not against the cubs but in general of course i will against the cubs) because i feel bad, or cheer against them because those fans do not deserve playoff baseball.
  9. The minute CC walked into the club the lights went out, causing confusions amongst all. Bill Hall wasn't gettin any action either because most of the ladies in the club were righties.
  10. I love the little quirks of each ball park. It makes things interesting. As for a change if a wild card team has a better record than a division winner then i would give that team home field advantage...basically meaning i would seed the playoffs by records.. for example. cubs win nlc brewers win wild card but with better record than nl west winning dodgers... should the brewers meet the dodgers in post season they would be given home field advantage.
  11. Speaking of the female interviewers being less likely to be blown off, i thought Coushun's interview with Prince last night was a little awkward.
  12. If he will play for 5 million and donate all of his money to the Cancer research... I would do it. and , it may help his image a little bit...
  13. Undefeated. National Champs. Book it. So what I'm a homer...
  14. I can't stand people that complain. I am going to write a complaint to the local paper about how much i hate it when people complain....http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/tongue.gif
  15. "Durham-Counsell-Hardy-Fielder-Hart-Nix-Cameron-Kendall" and we thought we had a righty dominant lineup......http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/indifferent.gif
  16. The fact that this is 2008 and there is a wild card is making me more at ease and less tense with the team at the time. I really do think barring a injury not Brauns little hiccup either (knock on wood) this team is too good to miss the playoffs. A little help from the Cubs would be nice though.
  17. What sucks is Craig is a likeable dude. Why can't the man just hit 260? It frustrates me , I said the same thing with Weeks and Cam, I doubt all of these players are low 200 type hitters. Why it had to happen in one year (an important year) for the Crew just sucks. You could throw Bill Hall in that mix. Just frustrating....but wait, we are in playoff position. If even half of these guys (Cam and Weeks are starting to show signs) can heat up, this is going to be a special last few months.
  18. World Series. I think this team will be playoff capable the next few years with Gallardo and Parra anchoring the rotation so i don't think making post season will be too difficult for the Brewers in 09 and beyond. With that said, to succeed in the playoffs you need a couple prooven aces in my opinion and Gallardo and Parra I don't think will be enough to win a World title next year. The window is closing on a World Series as SAbathia and Sheets are likely gone at season's end. Shoot for the moon in 2008 because who knows what happens in the off season with our horses...
  19. 2-4! Come on. We have Sabathia and Sheets going 3 times and are playing the Padres with a favorable matchup with one of our worse pitchers in Suppan. The Dodgers offense is still anemic (sp?) even with Manny . This aint your older brothers brew crew. These are winnable series.
  20. I've come to this conclusion...Branyan was caught with Yost's wife. Pathetic. Sorry hawing.
  21. Good news for the Brewers on the Cubs rainout. Let's get a couple of 12 inning ball games in tomrrow in the very least Braves.
  22. hawing, more power to you. the vent thread just expanded:) I have a good feeling about this game. Soup is warmin up......... see, i can be positive
  23. Day game followed by a west coast night game = good for the team.. long wait for guys like me
  24. Poor Tampa Bay. I think they will be able to tread water enough until Crawford and Longoria return but it is just sad that all the media jumps off the bandwagon after these injuries occur where as if it were the Yankees losing a couple players, the media coverage wouldn't be any less.
  25. I'm not seein the girl on facebook, man help me out. I have never seen his girlfriend before.
