Obviously the Brewers are 2008 world champs, right? My previous name thefutureishere2006 was pretty accurate as that is when they really started showing their stuff.

Rivera should be getting two starts a week from here on out. I have no preference between Weeks and Durham because they both scare me defensively, can draw walks and get a MINI hot streak going. However, this Counsell at 3rd base in that spot in the batting order has got to end. The other night when I was at the game they had Branyan in and it was a productive day. Why not put Branyan in left? It just makes absolutely no sense to me..

It only can get better for Gagne....right?

    1. Craig Counsell 2. Brandon Jackson 3. Mo Williams 4. Russell Branyan 5. Brian Brohm Just kidding. It really is something although Brett will be number one for me for awhile barring a deep deep run for the Crew at some point.

I think this is a MUST win if the series is to be taken... Go Crew get some freakin runs this time.

I am the biggest Mike Rivera supporter. I actually think offensively he may be better then Kendall. Anyway, what does over working Jason Kendall really do to benefit this team? I can't think of any arguments for it. He is just going to tire early. It's not like Rivera is being saved for the playoffs. I hope we see a lot of Rivera in September. Heck, maybe they will call up a 3rd catcher when the rosters expand.

That is definitely Ned Yost. I can't stand those videos but when Ned or another sports figure is doing it, i always stop and watch. I happened to be watching this video, if it is the correct one obviously since Ned has done a few.

2nd to post in the in game thread again.. once again following wibadgers , = SWEEP!
  9. 2008 world champs
Excellent time to heat up Prince.
  10. 2008 world champs
Well who would we rather have the Brewers match up with in the playoffs, Philly or New York?
  11. 2008 world champs
This lineup is winnings. Wibadgers starting off the thread and me going second in the jj hardy role.
  12. 2008 world champs
You're on the money. I think Cam and Billy better put 250-260 numbers up if the Crew wants to be in this thing. Kendall is not far behind in being of major importance. There cannot be a big black hole in the lineup

I know this is slightly off topic but i just had to comment. I was watching Manny's press conference on ESPNNEWS (no I haven't learned from my rant a few nights ago) Anyway, I was impressed at how bilingual Manny is. He could answer one question in Spanish and then turn to English on the fly without hesitation. I know he was brought up in Hispanic community but it still really impressed me. I sat and watched that and my brother was like "what are you doing doesn't that bother you" Usually it does because I can't understand it and the translator talking over people is annoying. With that said heres to a 0-20 against milwaukee in a few series.

    @ Atlanta (3) 3-0 @ Cincinnati (3) 2-1 Washington (4) 3-1 @ San Diego (3) 2-1 @ Los Angeles (3) 1-2 Houston (3) 2-1 Pittsburgh (3) 3-0 @ St. Louis (2) 1-1 @ Pittsburgh (3) 2-1 19-8.....sets up a nice run for September

Forget what happened in the Cubs series. 5 games is doable, very doable, and if the Brewers can't make that up, theres always the wild card. Lots of baseball left folks! Perfect guy to start a winning streak.........Ok, the last sentence was a stretch, but these aint your daddy's Braves. GO CREW!

Interesting DHonks, where did you hear that on CC? I thought it was a foregone conclusion that the Dodgers and Angels are the front runners in the Sabathia sweepstakes.

I remember watching the "Dream Job" SportsCenter series. I remember them being so picky on that show about details and it makes me wonder how some of the dumb mistakes can pass through. Oh well i suppose, it is embarrassing seeing all the blue and red in Miller Park's premier seating areas. Just let northsidebaseball deem it Wrigley north . Not some goon from ESPN.

I am weird . I got sick on King Chaos but that is it . Raging Bull scares the daylights out of me but thats because of that huge drop in the beginning and the feeling of not being strapped in very well. The Tilt a Whirl and Scrambler are my rides at the fair. i find it hard to get takers to ride along on those.

I hate this. Manny the Marlin, the Brewers post season chances went down a little bit more. I know he's only one hitter and the Marlins could already hit but still, I like Manny being Manny in the American League better.
  20. 2008 world champs
I like Sheeter, Brauny, and my nickname for CC....stud.

I am calling this guy out. Earlier this evening while doing a Cubs/Brewers update, Kim referred to the game as being played at, you guessed it, "Wrigley North" What in the heck is this guy thinking? This bothers me so much . Terms like that should be restricted to message boards and jabs between friends not on a "unbiased" network like ESPN. This little comment made me just as mad as the Brewers did this evening. I have defended ESPN for quite sometime but this pushed it over the top in my opinion. Did anyone else catch this unprofessional comment earlier?

Speaking from recent experience, the crazy thing tends to follow some guys. However, I would like to believe there is a a girl out there for me someplace. I would say the not being "tied down" is the only real advantage.
  23. 2008 world champs
Jakes life sucks part two: This girl I was talkin too for awhile and seeing a few weeks or so calls me today and is like I want to be friends but friends with benefits. Then she texts me sayin , no i want more then that we should think about dating. Just after supper about 20 minutes ago she called and now wants nothing to do with me at all. I cannot win. I am gullable but not that gullable, this totally sucks.

I vote for CF, I really do. Mike has been bad and defesively he hasn't been awesome like he was supposed to be. I wish they would ship him out.
  25. 2008 world champs
I thought BA said that he was just promoting "High :Life" but i am not sure on that. Maybe he was just there to make bill schroder giggle like a little girl. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
