  1. Just to add a little bit to the Daron Sutton talk from the first page, I live in Arizona and Sutton is interviewed pretty often on the "Doug & Wolf" radio show, and I remember him saying at least a few times things to the effect of "I just wish the Brewers would lose every game". (paraphrasing of course) I don't know what exactly happened between him and Milwaukee, but there is definitely some bad blood there and it did come through last night in his call at the end of the game.
  2. Obviously if Braun were playing, he would have caught that ball.
  3. I have lived in Arizona now for 5 years or so, and when MLB Network showed the end of the Brewer game and the crowd just erupted, I admit I started to cry. My wife thinks I am crazy, lol. I would give almost anything to be inside Miller Park right now.
  4. I really like Yo, but if our first three starters in the post season are Grienke, Marcum and Wolf, I would not argue too much. I have no statistical evidence to base this on besides my gut feeling, but Yo seems to sometimes have a little bit of difficulty with the mental part of the game.
  5. I was just following along with the boxscore, did McGehee come in as a defensive replacement?
  6. http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-3IDM3a-8bMI/Ti86E_81MlI/AAAAAAAACVA/xyQc43AurN4/s1600/Olivia+Wilde+House+%25282%2529.jpg
  7. Why is there no Braun tonight? http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/frown.gif
  8. I am starting to like Yuni, not just because he is hitting well, but because I look at Counsell and realize how much worse it could be.
  9. I just enjoy the fact this was posted by a guy with LaRussa's mugshot for his avatar pic.
  10. In no way is this a knock against our pitching, but man, Houston's offense looks absolutely brutal.
  11. Not a big name obviously, but he can play 2B, 3B, SS and the outfield, so assuming we didn't really give anything of value up, not a bad deal at all.
  12. And this has to be the end of the line for Counsell, right? Please?
  13. Looks like we got Hairston Jr.
  14. I wish I was as impressed with Carroll as so many others are, but there is just NOTHING that excites me about the possibility of him being a Brewer.
  15. My favorite part of this game so far is seeing that Marcum has a better BA and SLG than Counsell. If Counell weren't a local boy, he would have been sent packing about 6 weeks ago. I like him as a person, he is useless as a baseball player.
  16. Yo is still in because he leads off the next inning and we need his bat in the lineup.
  17. He just needs a hot streak. For instance, if he goes 30 for 30 on this road trip with 28 doubles and 2 home runs, he will be right about at last year's numbers of .285 AVG and .465 SLG. Just give him time, we clearly don't have an answer at AAA.
  18. Wonder what we had to give up to get him. Didn't he recently say he doesn't want to go somewhere and be a set up man?
  19. I am ECSTATIC to be proven wrong today! http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif Way to go Casey!
  20. Wasn't McGehee supposed to get a few games off to clear his head and regroup? Since I heard that I am pretty sure he has started a game, been brought in to make the last out of a game, and now been brought in here in another pressure situation. For a guy who is clearly struggling, I am not sure this is going to help clear his head. Though I hope I am wrong.
  21. At the start of the season, I expected around a 4.00 ERA for Greinke. Right now, if he pitched 3 consecutive complete game shutouts, his ERA would get down to around 4.07 or so. Raise your hand if you think Zack is about to reel off 27 scoreless innings. Given what we gave up for him, I don't think some criticism when he is performing so far below expectations is really out of line.
