  2. Someone is really going to have to explain to me the decision to bring in Bush for one batter. I really just don't get it. Although I may have missed some explanation because after hearing Joe Morgan say "in a box" for the 15th time in a 2 minute span I had to take a walk onto the patio before I threw something at my television.
  3. Wow, the good Brewers actually showed up tonight. This is a rare treat, I'd like to see more of this, please.
  4. Wow, we really made that pitcher work in the second inning. At this rate we may get into the Cardinal's bullpen by the 10th or 11th inning.
  5. 0-2 on Pujols....hmmm, what should we throw him next? He'll never be expecting this 88 mph meatball right down the middle. This team is a joke.
  6. I hope Joyce comes down with the flu tonight and misses tomorrow's game, because if he doesn't, he is gonna get killed at that stadium.
  7. With the Angels seemingly losing their first baseman for the rest of the year, this might be a good time to try and take advantage of them if they have any interest in Fielder at all. The Angels haven't been great this year, but I think they're only 3 or 4 games out of first, so I would think they have to belive they have a chance yet at winning the West. I have no idea who we could get from them though.
  8. 4.1 innings of hitless relief to end the game. Why does it feel like I've died and gone to heaven? On a serious note, why is there talk of letting Hoffman close again, Axford seems to get the job done pretty nicely.
  9. Okay, raise your hand if you predicted at the start of the year that after 2 months of the season Hart would be leading the league in home runs and McGehee would be leading the league in RBIs. Anyone?
  10. This is a great game to watch. And seriously, Bill Hall looked pretty good in the 9th inning on the mound. 89 mph? Can we pick him up for the bullpen?
  11. Did we just win a home series? I'm thrilled about it, but seriously.....Wolf? Seriously? Was that some kind of joke?
  12. I will be a Brewer fan until the day I die. That being said, if we lose a series at home to Houston....well, could things really get any worse?
  13. Sign a fairly soft tossing lefty with control issues that other teams have had no problem giving up on? Hmmm, yeah I don't think I'm getting behind that idea.
  14. Oh, Peterson is on the case now. I feel much better.
  15. I was watching one of the "Live Look Ins" on the MLB channel, and even the analysts there could not believe Gallardo did not get a couple of those pitches called for strikes. He was getting squeezed, big time.
  16. Way to go Rickie! Takes a little of the sting out of the fact that we had 1st & 3rd with no outs and couldn't score a run. Doesn't take all of the sting out, but a little.
  17. Is getting old an injury? Seriously, at some point guys do just "lose it". There is a reason you don't see many active pitchers his age.
  18. Is that god awful 594 banner supposed to be Hoffman's BAA?
  19. It's not exactly a big boost to morale to see the Brewers take a lead into the 9th and have Hoffman blow the game either, is it?
  20. Maybe not we can stop seeing that goofy looking banner, it sure isn't hitting 600 anytime soon, if ever. This is just pathetic.
  21. This contract, however bad it is for the Phillies, and I do believe they made a mistake, makes it pretty clear to me that the Brewers have literally 0% chance to keep Fielder. It kills me to say it because I love the big guy, but I also realize the situation as well. That being said, we may as well start looking to trade Fielder pretty soon. After the first 20 games or so of the year, I don't think we have the pitching at all to make the playoffs. With no chance of keeping Fielder, and very little chance of making any playoff run, I wouldn't mind seeing us try to take advantage of some other teams who would love to get Prince. Boston has to be getting to a point of near desperation now where they'd maybe overpay us for Fielder. Even Tampa Bay may decide to really try and make an all out push for this year due to their hot start and give us a little more than we expect for the guy. San Diego will unload Gonzalez soon enough, and when they do that's one less possible trading partner. If losing Fielder is inevitable, and that is how it looks to me, we may as well deal with that sooner rather than later. The money saved from a Prince deal could go toward extending Weeks, McGehee, etc.
  22. It didn't take me as long to miss Ned Yost as I thought it would have.
