  1. Wish I could find out. I have DishNetwork and they told me they haven't made a decision on whether to carry it or not. Anyone have any other info about Dish?? I have a feeling I might have to switch to DirectTV to get the channel.
  2. That over $25 million we're spending on Hall, Cameron, and Suppan this season sure hurts. Even if we had a quarter of that money we'd be able to get another pitcher.
  3. DishNetwork told me last week there was no timetable to pick up the channel. I guess I better look at going back to Direct TV.
  4. DHonks-I love that idea!!!
  5. Kind of like the Packers GM who sat back and did nothing to improve the team that made it to the championship game. I know that there is a lot of time to make improvements but as a fan I saw what happened to the Packers and now I'm afraid the same will happen to the Brewers. To me both of the GM's are kind of passive and laid back about improving the teams. As much as I really like Melvin when he first came in all of this sitting on our hands has been difficult to understand.
  6. I don't think the bullpen is in such great shape, but then again either is the starting pitching, or the lineup.
  7. I guess I wouldn't mind trading Hart but I'd like it better if we'd trade Fielder. Prince scares me with his ever expanding waistline, attitude, and lack of defense. To me he's a prototype DH. Whoever would get him would have him for 2 more years(I think) before losing him. I would think he would bring more back in a trade because of that, as opposed to trading him right before he becomes a FA. He's coming off a pretty good year(even though it was down from 2007) and he does have some good trade value... a lot more value than Weeks or Hart at this point. I know this isn't an option for 2009 but moving Hart back to 1B would be something I'd like to see. That was his original position and he has a lot of experience there. He can't be as bad as a butcher at 1B as Prince is. So far this off-season has been very disappointing.
  8. kramnoj- You're right Melvin did talk about getting some pitching help through trades. I'm hoping he still looks at that avenue. I would hope at some point some team needs a left-handed DH! Maybe I'm wrong but Melvin to me seems very passive (obviously I have no insider info, just a guess). Hate to say this but both GM's Melvin and Thompson seem pretty passive and don't look to do anything unless they're approached first. They both seem very happy with the staus quo. Look how it worked out for the Packers!!! Not many of those P available really strikes me as something that would be worth a risk, unless the risk to the team is very low.
  9. Besides Looper who else is out there? And at what point does Melvin decide to try to trade for pitching?
