  1. I'm not even really watching the game. It's worked the last two days, so I figured I'd try it again. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif As for Jenkins, I'm speechless to a certain extent, because I can't believe it finally happened.
  2. Great. We'll get even less for him than we would in an offseason deal after he sucked for the majority of the season.
  3. And I get to see the tail end of a win anyway. Must be a good day. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  4. Wow. I get home from a media function and that's the first thing I see...makes me really happy that I haven't been home. Naturally, both guys stay at their positions. I mean, why would you want to pull Gross for an inexcusable error that you wouldn't tolerate more than once from a six-year-old?
  5. I'll just have to keep not watching. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/happy.gif (It's cool with me. I'm trying to get some work done, and I suck at working while watching baseball.)
  6. So I just looked at the lineup, saw Gross in the cleanup spot, and decided to let my wife watch her stupid dancing show on Fox. I'm really not interested tonight. Last night was too much for me. I watched until Daron Sutton told me it shouldn't matter because it's just a baseball game. Then I turned it off and went to bed, because it didn't matter, after all. (Thank goodness it doesn't matter, because if it did, there might be enough interested people across the Upper Midwest to justify paying good money to people so they can broadcast the games on television and radio. Oh, wait...)
  7. Or just stop watching the games and read about the result in the paper. (I just wish I could do this.)
  8. Ned will show his loyalty by falling on the sword before anything bad can happen to Butch*. (* - I hope.)
  9. Why, so Fielder's worm-burners can make two outs instead of one?
  10. That's great. All I've heard for the four innings I've been watching is about how great his control is and how dominant he's been against the Brewers. It's awesome, really. They just touched up Cappy while we can't even get anyone on base against one of the worst regular starting pitchers in all of Major League Baseball. Pretty sad. Even sadder when people paid to broadcast a baseball game fail to see a problem, and continue to act like Suppan is about to cement his candidacy for the Hall of Fame.
  11. This is embarrassing. Why haven't the morons who are paid to call this game on TV bothered to mention that Jeff Suppan came into this game with an ERA of 5.07? Isn't it okay to bring this up, instead of talking about how good Jeff Suppan is? You know what? I shouldn't even be bothering. Oh, and defensive stalwart David Bell just let Scott Spiezio pick up a bunt single. What a waste. What channel is the car race on? http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/frown.gif
  12. And Turnbow gets away with a HORRIBLE pitch on 0-2. Thank goodness the Cardinals didn't have a real hitter up, because it would be 5-4 if they did.
  13. So...on what planet is Turnbow a better option here than Shouse or Cordero?
  14. Man, if only I had a nickel for every time this got posted here.
  15. Ugh. Wise pitches well, so Shouse comes in to get one guy and can't do it. Just once I'd like to see everyone in that bullpen pitch well at one time.
  16. I'm just glad we picked up a solid veteran bat at third base...the kind of guy who would never swing at a pitch that could hit a left-handed hitter in the back of the leg.
  17. Graphic: MILWAUKEE BREWERS 0 GRAND SLAMS THIS SEASON Well, I don't think you have to worry about jinxing that with Bell up.
  18. No kidding. I'm so glad he took care of business there. God knows Lee never could take care of those runners. By the way, with some of the crap I've seen pass for strikes tonight, how in the name of Steve Woodard did Doug Davis walk four guys?
  19. Hey...look. We hit behind a runner. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/eek.gif
  20. They mentioned on ESPN last night that Utley wasn't talking about it. Of course, that wasn't stopping EVERYONE ELSE from doing it.
  21. As far as I'm concerned, you're preaching to the choir.
  22. I've given up. Sacrifice bunting is stupid about 70% of the time. I'm convinced that managers only do it to keep the purists off their backs, because there's no way they think it's smart strategy to be constantly giving away outs late in games.
