    The forecast I looked at says there isn't any real chance of rain after early afternoon tomorrow. To me, there's no reason to try to get this game in when you're probably good to go tomorrow night and can play a DH on Sunday...unless the Reds just can't give up this gate for whatever reason.

    For this delay to be as long as it's been, one has to figure that the Reds are sitting on a pretty big gate tonight that they don't want to give up. Otherwise, it doesn't make much sense to string it out this long.

    He went on some ramblefest about how David Wright is "arguably the best player" on the team with the best record in the NL, so he should be the MVP over Pujols. That's fine, though, because a few seconds later, Harold Reynolds said that Prince should be the NL Rookie of the Year because he was expected to do well and he has. Reynolds then said that Jonathan Papelbon should win the AL ROY because he's on the best team. Oh, and Steve Phillips can't be left out, either, because he claimed that Johan Santana should win the AL Cy Young, even though he's not even the best left-handed pitcher on his own team.

    Another piece of (expletive) umpire who thinks the fans paid to see him act like a moron. It won't matter to the outcome of the game, but the umpire was almost completely in the wrong there. He screwed up the call and then kept getting in Ned's face afterward. What a joke.

    OK. I thought we had a scouting report on this clown by now. Jacque Jones will swing at a pitch if you roll it to him six feet outside. Think about Randall Simon, only Jones probably swings more often than that, even though he avoids teenage girls in hot dog costumes. So don't throw him anything he can hit.

    Just think...our manager is an idiot, the pitching staff has been decimated by injuries, Geoff Jenkins couldn't hit a home run at a Little League field, and Chad Moeller is still on the team...yet, we're only 4 games out of first. (Well, soon to be 4 1/2, but you get the point.)
