  1. Career Brewers WAR per baseball reference Gantner 22.3 Weeks 12.3 Per Fan Graphs Gantner 19.5 Weeks 18.2 I think he was referring more to Gantner being a miserable and horrible human being rather than comparing them as baseball players. Just my guess though.
  2. My favorite part of the episode was when they finally reference Creed being a musician in "The Grass Roots". My dad used to play them when I was a kid, and when I started watching the office, and saw the musician Creed Bratton playing the fictional Creed Bratton, I always wondered if they were ever going to have both of his worlds collide. I just like how they finally made reference to Creed's real life.
  3. Alright, well i can help you beat the bosses if you want, not a problem.
  4. What stats are you looking at? Prior to last season, Gomez had a .357 career slugging percentage. Since then he's at .466. He used to have to bunt frequently to keep his average above .230. Now he rarely bunts, and since the start of last year he's hitting over .260. He's also facing all types of pitching now, and not sitting vs. tough RH. Gomez has always had tremendous tools, which explains why he got to the big leagues so young. Now we're seeing the player people projected him to be. His contract is a steal. plus, his patience looks a lot better this year. He's not walking a ton more, but a little more. And he's not chasing as much. Look at last night. Some of those two strike pitches low and away would have been strikeouts last year, instead he worked two at bats for walks.
  5. i don't have a mic. haven't played online in a long time. normally a singles player cause i don't like relying on others....lol. but, once i get the ps3 hooked up in my new place i'll look you up. i've got some good orange weapons to trade if you got any good stuff. haven't found any pearlescent weapons yet but i think i will soon. my ps3 tag is UNERTLS
  6. If you're on playstation, i'll play with you. I have one level 54 assassin, and one level 25 commando that i just started a week ago.
  7. do you have the season pass logan? if so, you can download the new ultimate vault hunter mode and up your characters to level 61. i've got one of my assassins at level 54 right now. the good thing about the new mode is you can never outlevel the game. once you level up, so do all the enemies so it's always just as challenging.
  8. Anybody been playing Borderlands 2 on PS3? Love this game. Best FPS i've played so far.
  9. These shoulda coulda discussions are fun, but kinda pointless. Every team could have picked somebody better. It's the same way if you look at your fantasy football team at the end of the year, and realize the amount of points they could have scored with a little bit of hindsight. I mean didn't every team in the majors pass on Pujols, like 16 times?
  10. Better yet, you could just go to the opposing manager and say "we'll spot you 3 runs if we can skip the first inning and start the game in the second." It would basically be the same results.
  11. Well I wouldn't call a ninth inning BP pitcher a whipping boy. Aren't BP pitchers suppose to give up home runs and long long long warning track outs? Please without the blue hear the sarcasm oozing out of my text lol Axman is easily the whipping boy. terrible in WBC, Spring Training, and first 3 outings. He needs to get the Ax soon. You can't get away with being this bad cause of success couple seasons ago. An opposing hitter at this point just smiles when he comes in. They just need to sit back and wait for him to feed them a juicy straight as an arrow fastball right now middle of plate. don't forget all of last season, last spring training too.
  12. He is quite possible the stupidest manager in the history of managers. Really? Braun can't move his neck enough to at least swing the bat?
  13. Why did RRR put Turnbow2.0 in the game when its a tie? Is he the only one in the world that didn't know exactly what was going to happen? Please talk me off the cliff brewerfan.net smart people. I just don't see RRR pulling Axford unless he gets injured. I've never hoped for an injury for anyone, especially a Brewer, but........
  14. I'm officially putting my vote in for Axford. nobody has hurt this team more than him so far this year. He is, at this point, is Turnbow2.0.
  15. Did anyone see GoGo leading the team in walks this preseason? If he has finally learned some patience at the plate, he is going to be dangerous this year. I don't want to get to hyped, but I have been drooling to see a Carlos Gomez with patience and discipline. Especially considering that every walk could easily turn into a double.
  16. It's been a long time since i read the comics and even then, I read them sporadically. But, if I remember, the Dixon brothers weren't in the comics right? If that's correct, then I'm glad that they don't follow the comic exactly, because Darryl is awesome and even as a walker Merle was a badass.
  17. This may not be the right thread, but on a wrestling side note, Honky Tonk Man threw out the first pitch yesterday. The announcer said that he was a huge Brewers fan. I did not know that.
  18. I'm glad Green Bay gave Donald Driver a street and the statue. For everything he's done for the community, he deserves it. It's a fitting end.
  19. I don't think that Driver will be on the ring of honor, I was just posting the question to have the discussion. I'm probably biased since i've met him several times around town and he's such a great guy to talk to. I will stand by that I think it's possible the city gives him a street. His community work off the field goes a long way for that. I'm not saying it's likely, but it's certainly possible. speaking of ring of honor though, congrats to Dave Robinson on the Hall of Fame voting yesterday. I guess the Pack will have to add a name after all.
  20. I would agree with this. I guess it could be because of his Dancing with the Stars appearance but people have really overreacted to how great he was as a Packer. Amazes me that people think his number should be retired when the guy the stadium is named after doesn't even have his number retired. If the Packers are thinking of retiring numbers maybe they should give Paul Hornung a call before he dies. I think, if anything, people are underreacting to how great he was because he wasn't a primadonna look-at-me wideout like ochocinco, keyshawn, or many others. He didn't get the press, but he put up the numbers that an elite wideout does.
  21. The Packers have nothing to do with naming streets though, and considering the work that Driver has done in the community and the state, I could see the city naming a street after him in the future. And as far as people overreacting about how great he was as a packer, he's the all-time leader in receptions and yards for a franchise that's been around for a hundred years. Two out of three of the categories that recievers are measured on. That's greatness no matter how you slice it.
  22. One can only hope, I can't see a guy who's made a $150 million over his career playing for $2 million bucks or so but stranger things have happened I'm not sure he's going to have a choice. He either takes a deal like that, or retires.
  23. With Donald Driver retiring this week as a Packer (hopefully for good), I was just wondering where he sits in Packer lore. Does he get a street? Packer HOF (no question)? Ring of Honor? Number retirement? Just wondering what people think. I realize being a Brewer fan doesn't automatically make you a Packer fan, but most people cross over. I think, with everything he's done on and off the field, he should get every honor the Packers and Green Bay can bestow on him.
  24. If it's true, good for Jackson though. I mean he's been in the league like 85 years, all on one year deals. Now when he moves in, he can actually unpack his stuff.
  25. A lot of people have mentioned Door County, and since I live up here, I might suggest that you book a place now if you plan on going. It's almost impossible to just come up and get a room this time of year.
