Completely agree with others that the rush to judgement sucks. In the past players have made statements denying and claiming "tainted" or mistaken use leading to positive tests. There is much different and stronger claims coming from Braun's camp. I hope, if the truth comes out that there was no PED use, as it seems to be the case, that it is as widely reported and hopefully backed by MLB.

I've heard this sentiment before and I've never understood it. I mean ALWAYS ahead of the testers?? I mean, are the testers McDonald's workers using 1960 technology? These are still professionals who read literature in their field, have the backing of MLB (who work together with World Doping Organization), and have some pride in their work I'm sure. I just don't think doping in baseball is all that prevalent these days. Call me naive. But to think everyone is doping would require complex strategies and constant reevaluation of doping procedures by the players to stay ahead of the curve. I just don't see that going on. A lot of work and a lot of risk...

In regards to a player NEVER overturning a suspension. There have only been 66 suspension in the 7 years the testing has been in place in MLB. I don't think that is a massive number. I don't think it is an impossibility.

I agree Truth. To also quote Funketown "First, the most likely: Braun really is on something. He wasn't caught until this year. Not in the minors or five seasons in the majors. If these tests take so long to catch somebody, how many guys are still using?" --- If Braun truely was juicing, that leaves two possibilities - Braun is the only one juicing or he is the only one caught???? Both those possibilities seem farfetched. Combine that with: 1. Braun's PR statement of "highly unusual circumstances" 2. the "sources" indication of a 2nd negative test - i realize this may have come weeks after I just want to believe this may have been inadvertant or some reasonable excuse.

i'm the same way. when i saw the cards had tied the series i was so irritated and thinking about them making it beyond the phillies. i felt it was guaranteed they would beat us and how if they did i am taking a break from baseball for a couple years. also...i know i'll get skewered here for this but i have the option to go to game five but i can't stomach it due to the possibility we lose. i'd be devastated. -

Brewers.com now shows pitcher TBA for Wednesday and says: This is Yovani Gallardo's day to pitch, and he still may appear for a brief postseason tune-up. Ditto for Zack Greinke, who would like to pitch to stay sharp between his final regular-season start and the playoffs. So maybe some sort of tandem pitching? 3 innings for yo, 3 innings for greinke? that makes the best of the situation i think.

It was not simply name association; the Brewers' Green man is actually from Vancouver Island." Sounds like something in the vein of the cowboy team outfit. Sounds funny, wish there were some pictures out there.

WHY DEFEND CARPENTER instead of Morgan?? Yes his tweets were childish but he said Carpenter said something first. It takes Carpenter admitting it for you guys to believe him?? Carpenter has a history of confrontations with everyone from batters to umps to his own team! I can't stand him. Carpenter is pissed at Morgan's antics throughout the game, strikes him out on a long at bat and curses out loud AT Morgan (HE ADMITTED IT). Morgan did nothing wrong but the tweets. I wouldn't take someone saying something at me after a strikeout. And then there is Pujols....I can't think of the adjective to describe my hate for him. Runs across the field like a ballerina. WOW. Glad we've seen the last of the Cardinals.
