    Exactly. I can't remember who plays center for them (Rasmus?) but if they have Holliday and Berkman manning the corner spots?? Yikes. And he is really slowing down with the bat.

    I didn't want to start a new thread, but as the self-appointed Guardians of Baseball, it is hilarious that I have NEVER seen Yadier run out a ground ball. NEVER. Ridiculous.

    ahhhh!! that 101 makes me nervous! the higher the gun readings the more nervous i get for injuries! especially after strasburg highlighted it and that blog article "the pain of ptiching". what do we know of rogers mechanics? didn't they change his mechanics two years ago which led to the slap lesion or whatever shoulder injury? crossing my fingers.

    could someone explain what they see when they call braun a butcher out there? i watch a vast majority of the games and the only thing bothersome that i see about braun is the poor position he puts himself in to make throws. what other problems exist? i guess i don't have a traiend eye..

    I know this is a minor aspect of the game, but I am frustrated enough to get up off the couch during this Houston day game. Has anyone else noticed the Brewers are distinctly less capable of bunting this year, whether sacrifice or for a hit?? I watch a good amount of the games and my frustration with Carlos Gomez alone is killing me. That's one of the main things he is supposed to bring to the table, along with defense! Thrown in Alcides Escobar and possibly even Corey Hart with players who I haven't seen executing bunt for hits. Braun seems to be the only one haha! And our pitchers don't seem to be executing sacrifices very well either. Is this just me??

    WOW! did not see this coming! well, good for the twins. he is a one of a kind player. catcher is more of a premium position than first base....isn't it?? joe mauer's play at catcher is worth more than prince's at first right??

    didn't see one so I thought I'd start one. Not that national predictions are that relevant but they can fun/infruriating to check out. I'm not sure if they are out but I did see Baseball Prospectus (via 30 clubs in 30 days) put the Brewers at 77-85, tied for third i think. Seems pretty low. I feel like barring major players going down (weeks, fielder, braun, gallardo), we will be more competitive than that. any others out there?

    i am just watching in horror as i know macha is going to insert suppan in that starting rotation. i will yell out for joy if for whatever reason (long relief, DL?, releasing him, etc) he doesn't start. it will be a brutal 3-4 starts before someone gets the balls to pull him.

    i found myself thinking the opposite. i've always been a fan of manny's curve and early in the year when kendall was catching him i saw very little of the curve, and a whole lot of the split...which manny had a tendency to leave up in the zone. with rivera recently ive been noticing the curve getting called a lot and the split much more sparingly...where it may be more effective. just my observations.

    ehhhh...i think inappropriate, regardless of whether they are true or not. he could at least have worded it better. now you got tension in the locker room. is looper or suppan thinking "i wonder if he is talking about me?" now mcclung is upset and isn't even performing out of the bullpen well. i don't know, they aren't that sensitive but those comments certainly can't help team chemistry. maybe something like "our guys are battling but we aren't getting the results right now. it's always nice to add some quality arms and i'm sure we could find a place for one."
