  1. I love putting a hurt on the Phillies. Feel like the national media loved talking about them as surprise contenders in the making and they just overlook the Brewers. Plus kapler annoys me for some reason.
  2. Every year can't be an outlier, pretty much the opposite of the definition. Santana has always had power until this season. Who knows, he's trying to focus on higher OBP and lower slugging. Or, it could be temporary and he will hit a bunch of bombs in the 2nd half of the year. Outlier as in 2017 is a really good year and 2018 is a really bad year because the real Santana is somewhere in the middle. Domingo really looks like he has no idea what he's doing at the plate. Swinging through hittable strikes and wildly swinging at anything with 2 strikes. For his sake and the sake of the Brewers offense, he needs a couple weeks in Colorado Springs. I think he meant he's had power in his career including minors prior to 2017....so 2017 is not an outlier.
  3. I agree but of course it all works out for maddon the genius hipster. Hate that guy.
  4. Thankfully Guerra has been a nice surprise, Chacin has been decent and Suter has been serviceable. But it is amazing as we're missing major production from our top 3 from last year.
  5. What is Davies issue? Just general effectiveness or "arm fatigue" or did something happen?
  6. 12-14 for me too. Have a bad feeling about the Philly games and of course the Cubbie and St Lousi games.
  7. Crazy that Wacha is only 26. Thought he was washed up but I guess just the development roller coaster (and injuries).
  8. Is that a known good benchmark? Sidenote: we're getting so many wins after facing challenges that we would've lost in the past.
  9. I'm a schlup at home who never played high level baseball but sometimes I wonder why Grienke is so effective. His FB is fairly straight and now sits at 89-90 and his slider seems way different than the FB and easy to pick out. Doesn't seem to throw much beyond that anymore either. But what do I know and his numbers are still good.
  10. Two balls called strikes. Strike 3 obvious ball. Better be for both sides.
  11. Well...that was weird. Foul tip while holding the bat back? Threw off AB, earned that walk. Shame.
  12. You're entitled to your frustration. But when they're about to win 3 out of 4 in Colorado it just comes across a bit silly. I put a pretty clear disclaimer it was a knee jerk reaction and also posted I was wrong after the fact. Also was in first inning coming after yet another shutout. But thanks for keeping track of my post for a few hours.
