No, I thought it was worth it to send him out for the 9th. His pitch count was still decent, and he cruised through the 7th and 8th.

I know if i were a dodger fan I would be pretty mad about how the dodgers are losing this game. 2 bases loaded walks, a run scoring on a double play, and 2 bloop hits, 1 from the pitcher, before braun goes yard combined with their potent offense's inability to hit a pitcher who has struggled so far this year. In fact, that sounds like some of our losses this year. It feels pretty good to be on this side of a game like this.

At the beginning of this week, I said 5-2 would be about what you would expect from this week and that's still possible, so I'm not giving up hope yet.

This next week of games is important, not only for the standings, but for the psyche of the team and fans. A poor showing can be demoralizing to everyone. I would think that going 5-2 this week is a must. More then that and I would be happy, but you need to win series against bad teams if you have any hope of the playoffs. With that said, lets start the week off right, with a win.
