  1. That's not the point. I'm just saying if a team wanted to game the system, the AL has an easier job at doing it.
  2. Ohtani, and anyone wanting to transition to a 2 way player from the hitting side, would probably have to be designated a pitcher for the first year and then still be allowed to hit so they can be a 2 way the next year. This is another way the DH benefits the AL. Someone like lorenzen from the reds, I dont know if he started anywhere on the field this past year, but if not and the reds wanted to get him the 20 starts they would have to start him somewhere in the field. I dont know what kind of fielder he could be at first or outfield, but if he was terrible it's a 20 game liability for the reds where as a similar AL teams player just needs 20 DH games and they're good.
  3. It makes sense why they declined it. If you put in a hard deadline for that it can only favor the teams. Just lowball them till the deadline where they have to accept or get stuck with only a 1 year deal.
  4. Has there ever been a world series where the road team won every game?
  5. Saw that the ncaa voted to allow athletes to profit from their names and likenesses. Not sure when it goes into effect. [sarcasm]Who will Barry schedule now?[/sarcasm]
  6. I support their methods that bring awareness to breast cancer.
  7. According to legend, a cook named Joe at Floyd Angell's café in Sioux City, Iowa, added tomato sauce to his “loose meat" sandwiches and the “sloppy joe" sandwich was born. And the rest, as they say, is history! Now onto luke!
  8. Almost got a gift there.
  9. Well that's not how to run a 2 minute drill.
  10. [sarcasm]Maybe they can trade their next 3 firsts for tua.[/sarcasm]
  11. We are falling apart here in ot.
  12. That's gonna be a non catch.
  13. Get the ball at the 25 after a fair catch on the 6? That's a rule I never knew about.
  14. What the fair catch?
  15. I dont even know what that was.
  16. I'm kinda impressed by that fg.
  17. Rip that play out of the playbook.
  18. Is fields a bad passer or is the weather taking the passing game out of the equation?
  19. I thought that for a second, but really would have been a horrid decision. At best you got first down in your own territory...you miss it and might as well pack the bags to go home. Gotta believe in the defense to start. Yeah, but litterly exactly the same scenario against Michigan and we went for it. Punting was probably the right choice, but less fun.
  20. Bad weather should play I to our favor I would think. Was kinda hoping we would go for it on 4th there.
  21. Barkley is a crap commentator. At halftime all he could say was same bad bucks offense that will get then through the regular season but against good teams wont work. Then after the game it's when they play a good team the offense wont work. I guess Houston isnt a good team?
  22. I'm concerned about everything to do with Wisconsin sports, but I think he will sign. This a frustrating game. Harden basically shut down with 4 fouls at the half but they still had a big lead. Starting to chip away now though.
  23. Is this serious? Are you just sharing your opinion and presenting it as fact? They're a good team, but how exactly are you determining that this I their best? They've probably played 6 teams that will end up drafting in the top 10 including probably the 4 worst teams in the NFL. Their opponents record laughable. They've beaten the Bills. That's the good team they've beat. They've got a really good defense and a marginal offense. This seems like a Skip Bayless comment. There's absolutely no way to compare this team to any of the other teams they've played. Not when the 2nd best team they've played is the New York Giants. I'm guessing this is about my comment. I thought I played the sarcasm on pretty thick there, but I'll try better next time. I was just commenting on the constant love letters McFarland was writing to the patriots during the game last night. It was pretty nauseating.
  24. I dont know if you guys know this but this Patriots team is the best ever. It doesnt matter of they haven't played anyone yet, because even if there was a halfway decent team or one of the greatest teams of all time then the Pat's would just scheme to beat those teams. Also this defense is just keeps doing "it" making interceptions on passes that I could pick off.
