  1. I think you meant Yuni B has never faced Chacin but is somehow 0-3 with 3 first pitch pop up outs And great gifs everyone - this thread is hysterical
  2. Nice gif's TLB and DLK9 ... we should make a contest on who can find the best gif to go with the statement of "Brewers sign Yuni B to a Major League contract"
  3. I too think the Brewers will be playing for a playoff spot. Vegas had the Brewers over under at 80.5 games and I bet the over.
  4. I always try to be a half full kind of guy (but the realistic part of me always gets in the way) ... But I 100% agree with "Every team is tied for 1st. Sports can be very unpredictable and that's what makes it fun." Let's go Brewers, it is a long season but here is to hoping we are watching the Brewers play meaningful games in August/September and maybe even October. Go Crew!
  5. I am pretty sure they get our pick ... Which is why it is a horrible signing
  6. Thank goodness we can say this wont be true as he was just released
  7. I hope we finally get to see the good Carlos Gomez. He plays good d but is a very frustrating hitter to watch. With Braun locked up forever and us owning the rights to Aoki for 5 years - sucks to be a brewers AA/AAA farmhand who plays OF
  8. I have not heard anyone say our bullpen is awful. As I agree, that makes absolutely no sense with a staff that is bringing back 1 guy. Having said that, I have heard some express concern over Axford. Which is valid coming off of a career worst year. He has pitched in 3 ST games and 2 WBC games. He has given up runs in 3 of those outings. But the bad news for Axford is he doesn't have the luxury to be mediocre/bad in April. If he is, the fans will turn quickly on him. He needs to have some early success not a continuation of 2012.
  9. I know I always look forward to the Power 50's and most recently Rams updates. I do not have in-depth knowledge of our farm system but I love hearing about what is going on. The analysis given on this site is 2nd to none so I appreciate the time dedicated to keeping the Power 50 / Discussion alive. Thanks to those involved.
  10. If Axford fails and isn't successfully converting saves - why name anyone as a closer? I am not of the mindset that thinks teams need to set roles when they don't have an established player at the position. So if Ax (our only established MLB closer) fails, I hope they go with the hot hand and not who they think would fit the bill. And that means one night it could be Hendo, another Olmsted, Gonzo, Hellwig, kintzler, etc ...
  11. Thanks for the feedback Brewmeister
  12. I really hope if Axford struggles we move to another option. It seems like we have a lot of other options this year on who could close games.
  13. Brewers Lineup: SS Jean Segura 2B Rickie Weeks LF Ryan Braun 3B Aramis Ramirez C Jonathan Lucroy 1B Martin Maldonado CF Caleb Gindl DH Khris Davis RF Josh Prince RHP Wily Peralta On the pitching list today behind Peralta: Fiers, Hellweg and Jungmann.
  14. Milwaukee Brewers (@Brewers) 2/28/13, 9:38 AM Listen to a free, live webcast at 2:05 CT as prospect Wily Peralta takes the mound vs. White Sox: atmlb.com/Wjz4ws #CACTUSCREW
  15. Here are the Power 50's I was referring to: August 2012 - viewtopic.php?f=64&t=28753 January 2013 - viewtopic.php?f=64&t=29327 Maybe just place these lines near the last updated sentence. Have something along "For a recent update on prospect rankings see these links which are found in the minor league forum."
  16. Another idea is to put a link from the Power 50 to the minor league thread that listed the bf.net power 50. I used to always look forward to those (and no shame in letting the users put their vote in and it semi running it self.) Great idea stache!
  17. Ya this is the first I have heard of it but it's great news
  18. Ha! Awesome! I figured I might as well go with something a little different - 1 game playoff sounds fun (if your guaranteed a wild card with a loss)
  19. Record 90-72 Division: Tie for first - Reds ... Brewers lose 1 game playoff in Cincy - get wild card All Stars: Braun, Gallardo, Axford Disappointments: Ramirez, Weeks Surprises: Peralta - top 10 ROY, Axford - all star World Series: That's a crap shoot - I will go Brewers/Braves NLCS (Nats, Reds, Dodgers - make playoffs) ... Angels over Tigers in ALCS (Rays, Jays, Rangers)
  20. Jemile with a nice play - Rickie should run onto the field and give his little bro a beat down
  21. Ya - I think so ... I am biased and love MLB at bat - mostly because it allows me to catch a lot of day games on the radio. ( as AM radio doesn't work in the building I work in)
  22. Nice 3 up 3 down by Fiers - if he can keep his pitch count down he could go deep in this game. Lets go Fiers!
  23. Braun starting it off with a dinger - what was in his cereal this morning-blue
