It's been a while since Gomez hit one out

I was talking with a coworker about Gomez today. Our discussion revolved around how two years ago We would cringe when GoGo came up to the plate, and now when he bats I expect him to do something productive. He went from having no clue to being an MVP type player in the blink of an eye.

To me, the big flaw is that he has exactly 4 hits vs LHP. His numbers wouldn't be nearly as good if he played every day. Not saying he's not valuable......just that his numbers look better than they should because he's shielded somewhat from his weakness. RoCo, do you know how many ABs he has had against LHP? Just curious and to lazy to go look it up.

For how much we all are frustrated with Marco at least we don't have to watch them run guys like Bergman out there.

Which are? Huge flaws, lol, must be those huge flaws that have caused him to absolutely dominate AAA this year, and get better at every level in the minors.

I agree with you, but my fingers are crossed they give Nelson a shot. They don't have the luxury to leave Marco in the rotation and hope he figures it out like they did last year. If they weren't leading the central this year I might give him some more slack, but a move has to be made.

Odds are he is just going to tie the game if it goes bad. Probably don't want to put the winning run on there with one of the top doubles guys in the league coming up in Luc.

You can still write, "He FALU down the first base line trying to beat out that weak grounder." Just an idea. I got it! "After hitting that weak grounder, he FALU back to Nashville!" He only deserves the Greyhound.
