  1. Good point I mean if he's a 4WAR+ projection for 5years, how are you not giving that? But, then again, do QOs even exist in 5years? There will have to be some sort of free agent loss compensation. No way the owners give that up.
  2. Mark is the only person that was paid. Has nothing to do with gender and everything to do with who your agent is and asking for what you want.
  3. Can we assume that we give Yelich a QO when his contact is up (if he's not traded before that)? In essence we did get a prospect from Florida, we just don't know who it is.
  4. Junior's keeping runs off the board but his K's have taken a nosedive. About 5.5/9 against much inferior competition.
  5. If Perez and Broxton are both on the team, another OF seems wasteful.
  6. Houston is looking at Evan Gattis and ??? for their DH spot and they have some SP to spare. They will lose some of those SP over the next couple years to free agency but for 2018 they have extra. Santana would almost have to go to a team looking to compete. He doesn't have the control for a rebuilding team so Tampa Bay doesn't make sense to me. Houston, Toronto, and Cleveland look like the best fits for him ignoring what they have or could give up.
  7. I've only seen it brought up by commentators but making it a "minor league" for guys skipping the charade of being an NCAA student/athlete wouldn't be a bad idea.
  8. The MLBTradeRumors comment section used to be "good" for a an internet comment section but has really turned to crap the last couple years especially on posts regarding the big market teams. I skimmed the Yelich trade comments and it's 99% Cubs fans/trolls talking crap about how bad the Brewers are and will be.
  9. Ugh. Hate that it's five years. I guess in 3 years when Braun's deal is up Cain just goes to RF and they find someone else for CF.
  10. Brinson obviously is well regarded by everyone and Diaz has done things that make a decent prospect but you have to give to get. Harrison has future bust written all over him and I've only seen Yamamoto mentioned as anything by a few posters here, so neither is a loss to me. Seems like a fair trade to me.
  11. It's happening. MLBTradeRumors just told me so.
  12. Vince McMahon announced the XFL will be revived in 2020. He's bringing in football people to run the league so maybe it won't go down in flames after 1 year this time.
  13. It's interesting, because you would think it would be the reverse, will all the people cutting the chord. I would think they would be more eager to keep customers. Oh well, I'll let you know what I find when I play the game with Spectrum/Charter/TWC or whoever they are by the time I have to make that call in August. I'm guessing the number of people cord cutting is vastly overstated. It's probably more people who never had cable or satellite to begin with are choosing streaming services instead of people with cable/satellite getting rid of it.
  14. 99% of the MC logos I find look like that but it's not the same. The C is elongated like the Reds and not square like the Cubs.
  15. I think that is a big overpay on the Brewers' end. Castro's contract almost gives him negative value, and Yelich and Realmuto have asked to be traded, reducing the Marlins' leverage. I would be more inclined to say Yelich/Realmuto/Castro for Arcia/Pina and maybe Broxton or a lower-level prospect like Supak or Ponce. Major league players carry a much higher value than prospects. Castro's owed just under $23M over the next two years. For a 1-2 WAR, maybe even 3, 28 year old that's almost chump change in todays' game. And it's only for 2 years.
  16. ...then later, pitched a fit when she found out how much Walberg made for the same thing... I mean, rightfully so in my opinion. Don't offer to work for free and then get mad when you find out a co-worker got paid because they asked to be paid.
  17. Don't forget Prince's surprise appearance at the Brewers winter warmup 8 years ago or whenever that was after he signed a 2 year deal. He was having a bit of a tiff with the organization over his contract and miraculously he signs right before the event and shows up to standing ovation. I doubt Mark is telling David to time things according to FanFest but past history has shown us he likes to announce player moves during it.
  18. Ya, no fan of Arcia here. I don't care what his age is, in a year and a half in the majors with major league coaching he's made zero adjustments at the plate. Best defensive SS we've had in quite awhile but his bat is below replacement level and won't get any better until he changes his approach.
  19. How do ticket prices compare between minor league hockey and the NHL? A bunch of families with 0 interest in hockey will go to an Admirals game for $10 a ticket for something to do but how many of them will go to an NHL game where ticket prices are 5 times as much. I've gone to a bunch of Green Bay Gamblers game because it's something to do and pretty cheap and I have little interest in hockey nor do I really understand what's going on. I wouldn't pay to go to an NHL game.
  20. Probably because even though people threaten to leave the vast majority don't. That's why I haven't tried that tactic yet. I won't leave.
  21. They will have to change names and costumes of the racing sausages now to whatever the new sponsor makes, right? Not that I really give a crap but those names are pretty much synonymous with Brewers baseball.
  22. I started with the C assuming this was a Cubs minor league affiliate. The only affilaite they've ever had that had initials MC was the Midland Cubs so I thought I figured it out until I scoured every logo I could find for them and nothing is like this. They used the C with Cubs written inside of it or an M like the Milwaukee Braves M but thicker. I suppose I could contact the Cubs but based on the lack of responses I've gotten from everyone I've contacted so far that may be a lost cause too. Maybe I could try New Era since they made the hat.
  23. I've found a lot of schools with an interlocking "MC" similar to that but never one like the hat.
  24. Thanks. I just tried to message their facebook page and it told me to email them so I did that. Maybe they'll finally have an answer for me.
