  1. Scooter's 2017 slash: .287/.320/.538/.858 2017 w/o 4HR game: .262/.296/.437/.733 4 years in Milwaukee: .279/.318/.420/.738 Take away one game and he's the same player he always has been.
  2. The score doesn't really matter. These days your bullpen is pretty much guaranteed to pitch at least 2 innings every game and outside of Knebel they've all been terrible. Making big leads smaller, blowing leads, and making scores that were within reach out of reach quickly.
  3. Not that it matters but an MLB Trade Rumors article last week said that Nats ownership nixed the deal.
  4. I'll trade you for the 34 Skip & Shannon promos that I have to watch on the Fox Sports Go app. I watch on the app a lot and those are terrible too. Sophia is just so bad at pretending to ask questions and the whole premise is laughable.
  5. Big boy pants don't help when you've thrown more pitches than you ever have in a game before. And it's a one run game. Not like he really has any margin for error.
  6. Sure Rock, this is a great confidence builder for Nelson. Provided he actually gets out of it.
  7. I thought it was pretty obvious he was still on the bag live but who knows with replay.
  8. He also botched a relatively easy grounder before that.
  9. Not exactly. The Rockies did a 4 man rotation where starters were pulled at 80 or so pitches. They only did it for a few months so it's tough to take anything from it. Factor in Coors Field and them generally not having good pitchers and you really can't take anything from it.
  10. All Along the Watch Tower my mind goes straight to Craig Counsell, even when I hear it on the radio. The local team I watched growing up had a guy who used Kashmir. I don't remember who he was but my mind always goes there when I hear it. When the Levee Breaks is my personal choice.
  11. The eye test on Hardy says great glove, great arm, average at best range.
  12. Someone made a post awhile ago and it was torn apart. This post is made a few times every year and gets torn apart. However, no team has ever actually tried it so who knows what the results would be. Personally, I don't think you can do this with your whole pitching staff, especially in the NL. However, with starters throwing fewer innings and most pitchers these days being 2-pitch guys, piggybacking is going to happen to some extent. I just can't believe it hasn't happened already.
  13. Stearns has given Craig crap to work with in the bullpen so I can't be surprised that crap results are happening. However, the fact that Craig continues to use that crap the same way is on him. I don't get to watch all that many games but when I look at the box score and see at least 2 out of 3 days Torres pitches and gives up runs, it baffles me that he still has a job, let alone pitching that often.
  14. I would agree overall but in the case you're pointing out .004 in batting average is not even worth mentioning and .043 in OPS just isn't that much for 56 games.
  15. Arcia has a career .389 average and .722 slugging with a man on 3rd and less than 2 out. Just saying . Ya, not sure why there's this obsession with fly balls in those situations. Just do something good, like get a hit.
