  1. I can't imagine the swings that hit the catcher were intentional. That would be difficult to do but the bat throw definitely was.
  2. Mark Teixeira's uncomfortable and hilarious interview show is better than anything on TV
  3. There's no guarantee that Juan would be putting up those same numbers in Milwaukee. Toronto has now taken 3 players off the scrap heap and they've turned into HR monsters. They must be doing something right.
  4. They probably already knew the person they wanted to hire and the whole "interview" process was simply a formality they had to go through and they didn't want to waste your time.
  5. The problem with this platoon is there is no real good way to combine the names. Weennett, Geeks, Scookie, Rooter. They all sound terrible.
  6. Oh man, I could say so much... But yeah, I petty much agree. My Facebook friends are the opposite. They're constantly posting articles about how Cross Fit is horrible for you and is a waste of time.
  7. And Middlebrooks value has never been lower. That trade would be incredibly stupid for the Brewers.
  8. Yeah, he's been doing it...just as pretty much every manager in baseball has been doing it. So if it's biting Ron's "stupid head," then it's biting just about every managers "stupid head." I don't watch many games that aren't Brewer games but how often do the Brewers' opponents run into outs at the plate? I'm sure it happens occasionally but it sure does not happen as often as the Brewers do it. That's on Ron.
  9. Quite possibly biting the bullet for one of his players. Definitely biting the bullet for Herrera's mistake. If he actually instructs his players to run on contact on 2nd and 3rd - no matter how many outs - I seriously have to question why he would have a job. He's been doing that since he took the team over. I have no doubt Ron told him to go on contact. The amount of times this hurt us last year was discussed ad nauseum. It's back to rear its ugly head, or Ron's stupid head.
  10. How about don't make any outs any where? Isn't that a better rule to follow?
  11. The only situation you play in the infield in every time is with less than two outs in the 9th or later with the winning run on third base on the road. Any other situation requires the context of inning, score, batter, pitcher, runner on third. I think infield in is one of those gut/take a chance and see what happens kind of things.
  12. He's Scooter Gennett in outfield form, with some speed. Not worth it.
  13. How many pitchers go on the DL with "elbow soreness" after no diagnosed injury and a clean MRI? Plenty. He's DL'd for 2 weeks and spends the maximum amount of time on rehab giving the club a month with a "full" roster. He hangs around for a few weeks and maybe another bout with the elbow soreness and we're almost to September. If they've stuck with him this far they're going to do everything they can to keep him the rest of the season.
  14. The Brewers did this with Matt Ford. He started a few games and was then DL'd for really no reason. Players go on the DL for stupid reasons all the time. I think everyone knows what's going on and teams and the league let everyone get away this it because everyone is doing it and no one cares. Like pitchers having pine tar and other stuff on their bodies.
  15. I was wondering who the guy doing radio games was. And he is terrible. He talks just to fill space. It's quite annoying.
  16. Because he was signed after opening day he can't be offered a QO this offseason.
  17. Offensively, Scooter would be a putrid corner OF. His sub .700 OPS this year is not even passable for 2B.
  18. The White Sox also don't play in the middle of a highly populated neighborhood with poor traffic flow.
  19. I think that's been pretty obvious for a while.
  20. I'm kind of shocked he's still around. He was playing in the Mexican League in 2013 and 2014. Same as Matt LaPorta who just asked for and was granted his release.
  21. Jeff Bennett signed a minor league deal with the Dodgers. I don't think he fits the 2011-2013 time frame though.
  22. Did Hank the dog pick today's lineup out of his food dish? Ron, I hate you. You are terrible at your job.
  23. Despite Braun injury's which is nothing new he will continue to put up MVP type numbers or pretty close to it. Teams would be lining up for him. Sure, all 29 other teams would want Braun. But who is really going to give up a really nice, franchise altering package of players for a guy who is guaranteed at least 1 DL trip and a week or two where he's only available to be a decoy in the on deck circle?
